Can't claim to be 'black' fives any longer, I think 44977 has no black paint left visible any longer. First pass is in place, next step is to add some much needed finesse to the finish, and some variation to what is really monotonous greys. 45161 with it's polished smokebox has me wondering whether the factory satin is enough, or whether to break out the Klear. (current thinking is to leave as-is) As in previous entry, purely aesthetic at the moment, hence the shiny Hornby wheels and motion. This will be addressed at a later date.
