Nurton Hall Estate Railway - O9

Few pics of my new O9 15" gauge estate railway....

Started on this one just before Christmas so has taken a month so far - which I'm really pleased with!  Still adding detail as we speak.

Base board is 4ft by 6 inches (more or less) with a 6" long fiddle yard that bolts on the end.

Thanks Eric.  It all ran very well at the Mickleover member's day and will hopefully be appearing at another NG show this summer.

The 'steamer' is a bashed Hornby Desmond body mated to a Kato four wheel chassis.  I put 'steamer' in quotes as I originally built it as a steam outline petrol loco (designated thus because the only bit of plastic tube that I had for the chimney was so fat that it looked like a silencer!).  I must say that I do like these Kato chassis - run well, cheap and easy to clip bodies onto.
