gazmanjack
Can somebody help me ? Recently there was a chap on Ebay UK who sold a set of 4, replacement wheels (just the wheels, no axle), for replacing the existing deep flanged (for Super 4 Track) wheels on the Triang DMU power bogie, R157/158. His add has now dissapeared and I would like to find the where abouts of this seller as I'm after a set of wheels. Cheers, Gary.

I do not know this chap but Scalespeed will reprofile your existing wheels for code 100 OLD TRIANG WHEELS Old course Triang drivers & power bogie wheels can be re-profiled & re-gauged to run on modern track (Code 100 only).£17.50.+ £4.50 p&p http://www.scalespeed.co.uk/ Mike Wiltshire Unless this is the chap http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SPARE-FINER-SCALE-WHEELS-FOR-TRIANG-MIDLAND-BLUE-PULLMAN-X121MOTOR-NEW-F-POST-UK-/150998899859?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item23283c5c93
Il Grifone
There was another one IIRC, but, as you say, his ad seems to have vanished. (I couldn't find it anyway.) My DMU runs on drilled out Dublo wheels, which are similar in dimensions to the Hornby wheels.
gazmanjack
I did find 'Ultrascale', (https://www.ultrascale.com/eshop/products/view/CAT007/444) who produce replacement wheelsets for the driving coach, which come with full axle and worm drive. At just over 23.00 GBP (over $35.00 Au), they actually cost more than the DMU set I have. Then again, I could sell the DMU off, (they go for upto $80.00 Au) and purchase the soon to be released Bachmann Class 101 DMU (32-286). Cheers, Gary. RosiesBoss
G'day, Gary, Some years ago, I bought a job lot of Airfix diesel loco wheels/axles on eBay from "1846marion". These have been perfect to re-wheel coarse Tri-ang bogies, such as their TC bo-bo diesels and the Blue Pullman (illustrated below). (This is the approach I took with my BP upgrade described in http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/67038-blue-pullman-cheap-and-cheerful/) As they came with 1/8" dia axles, they were also perfect to re-wheel a Dublo bo-bo diesel wreck I was given. For Tri-ang models, I have taken the Airfix wheels off their original axle and replaced the Tri-ang steamroller wheels on the 9/64" dia axles, which can still be pressed into the insulated Airfix wheel centres. This job normally takes me no more than about 10 minutes. I'm not sure whether anyone still has stocks of the Airfix spare wheels, but this may be another way forward for you. Regards, Rob

Grovenor
If you get the economy version from Ultrascale you get 8 wheels for the price of four from Tony. Keith
