Moorings'................Hope you are, well rested, after your busy long weekend..........

I tested, 6, upright's for the canopy, with a rapid drying glue,.....

This was done, to check the height was, equal, to the opposite canopy,on platform 1.

But, I  knew I should not have done it with only using 6., pair at each end, pair in the middle, it soon waned... :swoon:

12. upright's with, OPW Trusses, between each pair, would have been more stable.

But I did not want to go that far......

Ok, Which ? please.............platforms' or Canopies....?

:drag:

platforms.....we did the plasterboard ones, but they are rock solid and when you cut into them powdery. We are doing the PIR ones, these are much easier, the fronts are fine....it's the top finish i'm watching out for...... I have just successfully done yellow lines for the road today, I'll put piccies up later tonite.

If you are doing yellow/ white line's,in PIR., or balsa..........

I used a fine blade jeweller's screwdriver, to run a groove, in either of the surfaces........

going to a depth of no more than 0.35mm. ,use fine visc. glue,of your choice......

I sprayed, 0.30 x 0.30. Evergreen, strip, Warning Yellow. and dropped it into the glued groove............

For your plasterboard, you can use, yellow sticky vinyal, in fine strips. from model shops.

or a very fine evergreen strip, sprayed to colour...............

Used "Maskol" to cover the Led's, then sprayed the under canopy .......grey.........

after drying, removed the "Maskol", from the face's of the led's...............

Platform Surface............

After, spraying the 1/32.in Balsa, last week, it was like parchment paper...........

But, after massaging it, with neat PVA,.....it became plyable, again

Clamped and cut to size......on the North end of platform 3.

Platform 2/3...applying  Surface ........South End.

The 1/32.inch. balsa surface has been coated with a thin layer,of neat PVA.

Then massaged in.

The straight edge, lined up with the tile's,is under the meter length, steel rule

and clamped.

post-13585-0-41304300-1399468532_thumb.jpg

The top half of the surface,is now plyable and can be rolled up to the top........

Then that is also clamped.......

The excess surface at the top,can now be cut,to size,to accept the tiles...

The whole lot can now be left, for a few hours, for the glue to go off........
