County of Yorkshire
Popping in to my local last week to pick up a new Bachmann LNER fish van for my inter-regional fish train, I was fortuitous enough to happen across a stack of recently acquired second hand GWR stock. After picking up a couple of very nicely built bloaters to join the aforementioned train, I found a set of four clerestories. I initially thought they were cut and shut jobs from the Hornby efforts, but it appeared not, due to the panelling being raised and not flat such as it is on the Hornby efforts. I've managed to identify the corridor 3rd as a C17, and the composite as an E73, but I'm still pretty stumped by the two van thirds. I did think that they were of the D30 diagram, but the distances between the luggage doors are not consistent with this. Can anyone identify them? Additionally, when will these diagrams of survived until? I recall reading that the majority of corridor clerestories were extinct by 1950. In that case, would they have received the post-1942 Hawksworth livery? Additionally, what sort of duties would they have been found on by the 40s? Departmental? Intermediate stopping trains? C17 E73 D30's? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks CoY

Tim V
Sorry, I misread your post, I thought you meant their origin! Ignore my comment!
Talltim
Can't help on GW coach classifications, but the earlier Hornby Clerestories did have panelling so may be cut 'n' shuts from them.
