I model loco's & stock for my O gauge garden railway 'The Withercombe Branch' & here is a taster of some of the more recent items to appear on my workbench. First of all the 'Hybrid Hymek', this is a Heljan body shell mated to a JLTRT chassis, Triang Fuel Tanks & PRMRP bogies. This loco was my prototype for using 'Micromotive' radio control system. Here's a pic of the JLTRT chassis with bogies & Radio Control gear attached..... This pic shows the unmodified Triang fuel tanks on the left & the modified tanks on the right....... One side of the fuel tanks has provision for the charging chassis..... And finally the finished loco..... i have been delighted with the finished radio control loco experiment & I currently working on R/C Westerns & Warships. That's a very neat looking set up in the Hymek, I'm guessing its made operation a lot more reliable with not relying on the rails for power and keeping them clean.
