  1. Maybe not, but it's a good thing to come across new potential suppliers and they do plenty of interesting stuff.
  2. I'd have waited until the newsstand copies come out next week with a '?' on the cover. You don't have to buy just one copy!
  3. They'd have to be wider for EM and P4. Seriously though, *some* buyers wouldn't instinctively know what scale 4mm/ft is whereas they do recognise what 'scale' OO is comparatively.
  4. We don't make people vote the way they do; maybe they don't read things properly? There's enough evidence for that 12" up the page.
  5. Maybe recent site issues have caused an invisible ink problem for some users?
  6. I hope you don't mind me choosing a pic of a mundane road junction for the certificate but I do appreciate just how good that scene is having had to do similar projects.
  7. Voting is now open for readers to select their first, second and third favourite entries. Click here to open the window for voting. Voting closes at the end of Friday 1st February with the winners announced at Stafford Exhibition on 2/3 February and on RMweb.
  8. It was nice to see so many nominations for Allan in the BMRA first stages and then very gratifying to see an outcome in the voting which recognises Allan's work. The full results may be seen here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/
  9. Congratulations Dave, not one award but two in the BMRA results; a nice tribute from your followers! The full results may be found here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/
  10. Roger, well done with a nice spot in the BMRA results. The full results may be found here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/
  11. Well done Graham on a well-deserved spot in the BMRA results. The full results appear here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/
  12. Congratulations to Mike on a great outcome among esteemed company in the BMRA results. The full results appear here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/141585-british-model-railway-awards-2018-the-winners/
  13. Supposition. In a previous life I have supplied services (rather than goods admittedly) to Aldi (along with providing services to companies who supply goods to Aldi) and they are into long standing relationships and contracts more than most discount retailers.
  14. It may get you an address though. I hope you had chance to bid a fond farewell and kiss it goodbye.
  15. It'll be a '?'. Hopefully people will like '?' and put them to use!
  16. Michael in our IT dept has come up with some workarounds which hopefully reduce the likelihood of this happening now; we'll keep an eye on things.
  17. I would expect it is editors of toy trade publications - if it means wider publicity for the product then that's no bad thing irrespective of independence or interests.
  18. Having spoken to Steve what we will try and do in due course is get the additional content referred to loaded up and let people know; it may necessitate downloading it again once the extras are added. It may take a while in the circumstances though.
  19. OK; thanks everyone. That's given me a clearer picture as to what is (or isn't) happening.
  20. Sometimes there is more extra content than others and this month was a little lighter anyway and then some last minute problems in creating the extras as unfortunately is off work a bit under the weather. Get well soon Ruth, your skills are being missed!
  21. If you have refreshed with Shift + F5 do you still get the delay?
  22. Technically it is a duplicated post as if a further post is made within a minute it combines them into one.
  23. Since work was undertaken to move to https I have seen several duplicated posts and topics. I expect that when the site was running slowly (Monday afternoon and evening) but it still goes beyond that. Can I ask anyone who experienced duplicate what they observed at the time? Was the site unresponsive and did you have to click the 'Post' buttons more than once? Since Tuesday I haven't observed any slowdowns at this end but I accept that may not be the same for all (disregarding any local connection issues).
