Here Tom.
The only modifications to the technique I made was to use Pledge with klear as I could find Humbrol Clear for love nor money and Railmatch Roof Dirt & Frame Dirt (10:1 ratio in favour of roof dirt) instead of the black washes.
Klear is no longer on the market. PLEDGE MULTI-URFACE WAX".is the same thing.sainsburys sell it £3.50 for a lifetimes supply

I have watched your progress with interest, mainly as I am picking ideas .However I read with interest that you like me resort to computer printing.I have found out the hard way, always give anything you print a coat of matt varnish one quick brush over and leave to dry.otherwise the slightest moisture and everything runs green. Its amazing where the moisture comes from a drop of sweat in summer moist hands etc.
Gauge 1 1/32 and 10mm scale.

Was confused about the standards of G1 so consulted this forum. Have decided not to go down this track as it is at the same place that 00 is i.e. a right mess. so will stick with my 5" for a bit longer you can get just as wet and cold anyway
