  1. Was online a couple of weeks ago when Rails put their last 56s on line, all of them being in-house weathered versions. I’m always a little cautious with “production line” weathering (they had lots available), but I have to say I’m chuffed to bits with what I got. Anyone know who did the weathering for them?
  2. Yep, I paid in full about 5 possibly 6 months ago. I don’t expect that to get me my models any quicker though.
  3. My order of 7 blue and grey is on the way apparently, just surprised they didn’t put the RTC coaches in with them 🤷‍♂️
  4. Well, my wait by the door today for mine ordered on the 26th of August 2021 resulted in me intercepting a box with accurascale printed on it. YAHOOO! Except it was from TMC and they were just reusing it to send a model plane I bought for my son :-( Not had my RTC coaches either. I swear the picking line I always get is the one made up of smokers who need a fag break every half hour 😂 Ah well, they’ll be here when they’re here, I’ll just have to deal with my jealousy of those posting their coaches ordered after mine 🤐
  5. Oooh, I ordered mine on the 26th August 2021 so I’ll be sitting by the door all day tomorrow!
  6. Thanks for your kind words, and I know we will survive and come out the other side stronger, and it’s only money/things, but it’s still heart wrenching.
  7. I only sell on 80% offer weekends, for example a record I sold for £103 only cost me £3.06 in fees, a railway turntable that sold for £209.69 only cost £5.67 in fees.
  8. I’m gambling on them going for more than I’d get if refunded as they are sold out. It’s a risky option when I always use 1p no reserve auctions but need to raise as much as I can, really don’t want to lose the car……
  9. Mate, it’s horrible. Really horrible. It’s the kind of money that effects us setting our 11 year old son up when it comes to Uni, buying his first house, etc. I’ll say one thing. I dreaded logging back on and seeing that I was being accused of profiteering, etc. The fact that the only responses are 9 “hearts” and yours has renewed my faith in human nature when it’s been severely tested! Rest assured that anything I sell will go on an auction with a 1p starting price, as I always do.
  10. Unfortunately fighting a legal battle I didn’t start is going to be costing me a considerable 5 figure sum in solicitors fees and I’ve already started selling records and models I thought I’d have forever. Even my beloved TR6 owned for 31 years may have to go. In short, I’m likely to have to sell some or all of the 30 coaches I ordered when announced, so there will be some on eBay, from me at least!
  11. Put it this way, I am and Jennie emailed me some weeks ago and said “ I can see that you have made payment for your first pre-order with us and that yours is one of the oldest orders so you will be amongst the first in the queue”. In others words, some serious patience is going to be needed by people, for reasons explained multiple times on here already.
  12. So basically what I posted two weeks ago from Jennie…….. ;-)
  13. I’m sorry, I didn’t read all that, the sheer length and opening tone ensured that. People who think they’ve got a lot to say usually have very little, I find. You are partly right, I felt guilty about having contacted them before xmas (even before the current levels of hysteria), but in what universe does posting their very clear and detailed update START a snowball effect. The whole point of posting it was to help people not make unnecessary contact! However, I apologise thoroughly if the effect of my post on your good self was the complete opposite of that…….
  14. Just reposting my post from last week as there still seem to be lots of people determined to slow down delivery of these locos by calling/emailing about their order because of some reason that means their situation is “unique”……. Stop bothering them about locos (24/1s) which aren’t even due for a loooooooong time.
  15. I’d give Rails a ring if I were you, as (not for the first time) they’d messed things up at their end. When I phoned Wednesday it was to specifically update my payment card details on my account as they’d have changed since 2021, when I placed my order within minutes of the announcement of the models. Was told not to worry and I’d get an invoice by email as they were doing them in batches. Still nothing by Friday and it seemed that rather a lot of people were getting theirs! Called them back - “Oh, yes, we can’t send it because we’ve not got an up to date card on the system for you……” 🤦🏻‍♂️🙄 To be fair the lad I dealt with was really helpful and apologetic. I obviously got the work experience girl on Wednesday. It’s very much a first world problem, and will make zero difference to my life, but it’s a little frustrating that if they’d sorted it Wednesday I’d have had it for the weekend……
  16. These things must have sold like hot cakes when released! Just checked and my order from Rails was on the day they were announced, and they’ve not even taken payment yet when some Rails customers have already got theirs! I phoned them on Wednesday and was told I would get an invoice for payment sent “in batches”. They must have sold hundreds that first day if I’m nowhere near the top. Guess plenty of other early purchasers in same boat?
  17. That’s genuinely the conclusion that immediately springs to the forefront of your mind when you look at the possible reasons for this? Seriously? Not the length of time to go through a checklist of tests on EVERY loco on the pallets, and then repack them and sort into orders, but a systemic fault on the whole lot??
  18. Surprised nobody has walked in and purchased over the counter and posted on here. I’m passing by tomorrow, wonder if they are for sale in the physical shop yet?
  19. The post directly above yours provides the info.
  20. I emailed Jennie in the office some time ago and since then there has been quite a bit posted on here by buyers. Jennie responded today, which I feel bad about knowing how busy they are, but hopefully by copying this below, it’ll stop unnecessary similar emails slowing them down! ”We’re not yet in a position to despatch the locos that have arrived (despite rumours!) but do hope to get started on these soon once all the necessary checks are complete. I can see that you have made payment for your first pre-order with us and that yours is one of the oldest orders so you will be amongst the first in the queue. There are just a few of us here in the workshop and lots of customer orders to work through but we’re excited to be so close to making a start on them now. We plan to despatch the models using Royal Mail’s Tracked 48 service and will be entering customers’ email addresses alongside their physical ones so you will first receive notification that Royal Mail have your parcel and then be able to track it/make arrangements for redelivery if this is necessary so hopefully that will work nicely for you.”
  21. I didn’t wait for a request, just phoned them up and paid about 8 weeks ago when I heard they were due after Christmas. I know it’s a small team so thought I’d make sure I was all paid up nice and early.
  22. Mine came by Royal Mail 1st class today.
  23. Not exactly sure where this best sits, but I guess it’s part of this set of winter 2023 announcements despite being a commission; my EFE silver 1959 stock Heathrow London Transport Museum exclusive has been despatched if you’ve bought one, like me!
  24. My 1959 stock Heathrow set was posted to me today by the London Transport Museum shop. Notification was in my junk folder…….
