  1. Hi Bill, Did you try screwing anti clockwise? They are threaded just like the real ones! PS: when I built my MMP tankers, I used CPL diesel couplings with a coach tommy bar, looks spot on!! ATB Bagpipes
  2. You just have to love those videos!!!!! Just don't come flying near my house
  3. Happy new year Adrian!! Just wondered if you are adding a west wing to your property
  4. Hi Adrian, Sorry I didn't see your article, but glad it went down a storm with the readers!! Absolutely love your layout, its a master craft in 4mm scale modelling!!!
  5. Hope I didn't put you off your lunch......normally I would be wearing my kilt and be on a unicycle
  6. Bet this new found gadget finds it's way to the clumsy site.
  7. just nipped in to Braunton, and was puzzled to find it had all gone black and white..... I found a suspicious chap wearing a perfect onesey, pasting a flyer to the goods shed door. Also, some wag was perched on top of the silo showing off his handy work....
  8. Just spotted a further suspicious charicter lurking behind the bike sheds........
  9. Hi Brian, I have really enjoyed your "Thumper' build. So much so that I took a sneaky trip to Alresford today and took several pics of their Hampshire 2 car unit. (I think it was originally a 3 car set, as there data panel states length over buffers as 199' 6". I was unable to gain access to photograph the inside, so couldn't get any cab, engine room or passenger area photos. I have to agree the inserts on the door windows are a must have. I’m hoping to purchase a two car kit, and would love to enhance the kit as you have with the extra detailing parts. As with others on this thread, I have had no luck with DJH with obtaining parts, even though I had previously purchased a RTR 03 from them. If you have time, I would be grateful if there could be a chance of you posting a list of parts and source of them? Many thanks, Rich
  10. Hi Adrian, Can you run up a few 0 gauge WR yard lamps, preferably working and pre-weathered? I'm sure you could squeeze it in to your coffee break? (Take in part payment for your onesey!!) Edit for my usual spelling errors!!
  11. I think the low emission 66 has the extra door. Edit as couldn't spell emission!
  12. Hi Adrian, When are you free to come round and plaster my garage? Oh, I could do with a laminate floor as well!
  13. A neglected class 31 awaits it's driver in the early sun....
  14. Seriously Adrian, This layout is one of the most atmospheric (Apart from Brunel's attempt) I have seen. Absolutley brilliant!!
  15. Hi Adrian, When can we expect the next installment?? Rich
  16. Hi Celticwardog. Thanks for your comments. The silo was sprayed with Blue Circle cellulose and nearly burned my eyes out!! I have toned it down, and in the flesh it now looks quite faded.
  17. I'm only just dipping my toes in to the world of scratch building, and only have a couple of 'showable' items, one being the 7mm cement silo shown on the link below. Modellers ingenuity never ceases to amaze and inspire me. I spend hours surfing this site constantly being amazed at the quality and realism achieved. If I could turn back time, I would have spent more time concentrating on acedemic studies at school, and become a civil engineer. Anyway, I digress, here are my pics......
