John,
thanks for the quick update….
It’ll be interesting to see if any other retailers start charging us GST for posting to Australia… particularly for orders below the GST threshold….

Thanks for posting about this…. I missed the Hattons Email….. please post their response…. I had a quick look at my pre orders, so I have some that if I cancel, I can’t order elsewhere (sold out), but the rest I can cancel and order elsewhere if Hattons are going to start charging me Australian GST for orders under S1000.

Express please….

Are we viewing some top secret development models here?
Hymeks, 33's, .... and more !!
Interesting!
Al.
🤔🙃😄
Where are the Hymeks? I can’t see any in the Accurascale display…. I can see some in the display cabinet before it’s been cleared out…

Are these consignments air freight or sea?
With the typhoon now dissipated, despatch should be imminent.
The delays, for the batch of models previously described by Acc as the most popular, are approaching normal for some of your competitors. Better make sure you don’t fall into that category.
Bob
Bob, do you think that any of the companies want the erratic supplies, delays and all round difficulties that they are all experiencing? Long delays, unpredictable cash flows means that some of the companies will have been struggling to stay afloat financially.

Too late, the bunnies already out of that hat, indeed its out, and its brothers and sisters and they are all reproducing like rabbits everywhere.
At least they are a bit more amusing to read than the ‘any updates’ question when the last 20 posts are all discussing the updates just released by the manufacturer….

All Bar the green one!
Seriously would take all 4 of the others suggested by Charlie. If I had to choose one, Strathclyde Carmine and cream.

Sooner or later they are bound to do the ubiquitous 47 and 08 (and of course such variants as the class 13). These are locos which have dominated the railway scene for the most of our lives, and whilst there may be decent examples on the market from other firms, Accurascale can probably do it to an excellent standard and do it cheaper. I see these as no-brainers, they are machines which modellers will demand for years to come, so they can do reruns as and when.
A class 47 is a big ask….. There already is the new high detail Bachmann 47, shortly to be followed by the new high detail Helijan Model… and to soak up the less detailed obsessed there is a Hornby 47….
The last time we had 4 choices for the 47, two quickly dropped off…. Helijans first attempt and the Vitrains model…

will we see 3 car sets in the future, they dont seem to want to produce them?
I’d imagine it’s down to what the final retail price might be for 3 car units…. 2 car units are more affordable, so would probably be better sellers/more profitable for the production slot. I’m patiently waiting and hoping they release an update class 170…

Lots of great stuff going on here.
I'm not sold on the removable roof idea though especially with the ease of getting Accurascale bodies off. (I'm assuming the middle blue bit is removable as its not sitting right)
End of the day I only change decoders when first bought or they go bang so hopefully not often at all. By being removable a heavier seem is introduced and then you're relying on a perfect fit for each loco. Something I've seen that's not achievable with the 37, and the 66 looks like it's going to have the same issues.
My 37’s roof looks fine with the removable section….though as you say, you’ll only be taking the roof off occasionally. I do think there is less chance of breaking something by having the socket easily accessible..

Just ordered 'Radio Highland' 37 in SFX. lovely looking Loco.
I’m tempted as well, but not 100% sure about the pipe work all protruding forwards over the snowploughs….

How much do people think a newly tooled 3 car class 170 will cost? I wouldn’t be surprised if it came in north of £350/£400…..

No pressure!
Al.

The depot was demolished early 90’s….. wasn’t rebuilt till the 2000’s for those pesky horrible DMU things….

Why? It’s a brand new model… what difference will it make?

A Collectors club where the select few can sell on flea bay for a profit, the limited editions denied to non members?

Interesting choice of models. 3 out of the 4 always carried ploughs in that guise, but they’re not on the pictures I’ve seen so far. I know they’ll be there with the locos, but strange not to pose them with them on.
Have a watch of Dave’s review on Dean Park about the new Class 37….
The main criticism of the models is the protruding snowplows…. Perhaps that’s the reason Bachman weren’t really show casing them with the plows fitted….

I'm happy to trust the final ones will be straight but tbf the review just says missing contact strips and so doesn't really explain how that's causing them to be banana shaped.
Overall looking good. I'm also looking forward to seeing the lights working.
Cheers
Will
They do state that the bogies are not the production bogies, and are the EP’s (assume that’s the Engineering prototypes or similar), so I wouldn’t worry…. After all as they have said, it’s a roughly put together and painted coach, and they post all there development photos of their projects, warts and all, as they become available.

I just find it amazing that when some of the manufacturers post on here and state unequivocally about the costs of manufacturing in China versus bring manufacturing back to the UK, that folk just don’t seem to accept the opinion/facts of people who have skin in the game…

I think it’s open for debate over who started work on the class 30/31 first…. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Bachmann….
