  1. I am doing a photographic 'plank' of the North end of Peascliffe Tunnel, around late 1977, in Finescale 00, as a test bed for something ECML in the future, some progress pictures as below. I am working to pictures of the period but am lacking some tunnel mouth proportions, measurements and close ups of it and any buildings, signage, lineside equipment etc. Can anybody please help me with any info.

    Best Regards

    Dave

  2. Hi Graham, my layout is Bridport Central late 1950s in 4mm, a what might have been if the LSWR had built a line through the town with links to the GWR branch and staple of the line, Brighton to Plymouth trains. Built by my late Father-in-law, Graham Smith with some help along the way by me and to what you see today. There are still no signals and other things to do!

    Cheers

Try the National Archives at Kew. They have loads of WTTs. They are listed in the RAIL section.

Thanks I will look into it

I can do you the October 1968 SR freight WTT (covers the whole Region) plus the complete SR loco diagrams (although they're called 'programs') for the same period. No reasonable offer refused.

  5. Thanks everyone for your replies. We are assuming that the Southern put a line through necessitating a larger station at Bridport hence using the name Bridport Central so Plymouth to Brighton services would pass through, an hourly Waterloo to Exeter would pass through diverting off the usual route and a local service to and from maybe Southampton or competing with the local bus to Swanage hence the use of a thumper or two. It would have a link to the above mentioned GW Bridport line, but its main use would be a secondary route as described above.

  6. My layout Bridport is set in the late 50s early sixties and I want to run it in the early 70s mode as well as I'm guessing the infrastructure, like station signage etc would still be the same. As the layout is a what might have been can anyone advise what traffic would be around the area, any pictures etc. I'm guessing class 42 warships on blue grey mk1s/2s, class 205 thumpers etc. Any one with any timetables etc, please help.
