  1. I am sorry but I do not understand the question. I do not want to be a member of Scale 7 because they are a specialized society that build to a different standard than I do. I used to be a member but decided that they where not for me. As a Society they are great with many nice help and features. I am considering to join Gauge0guild again after quite a few years of absence. Club? I am currently a member of the Limassol Railway club. They have not thrown me out yet so I guess they will have me. There is also a wonderful club with some very nice layouts a bit further off. I will visit them more once i have sorted a good way to get there. Now , Did I write something that was a bit odd sounding in English? If so I am sorry. After all my first language is not English. Sven
  2. So what does this mean? That in order to buy 7mm parts, I have to become a member of a society that I don't want to be a member of? Scale 7 I am sure is good for people wanting to build to 33mm track gauge, but I want to stay with 32mm. As long as Scale 7 only sell to their members the range is lost to the rest of us. Sven
  3. I think it very sad that JLTRT is going out of business. I was planning for a Black 5 to build for my retirement layout. And the answer to why buy kits? I enjoy building kits. Gives more satisfaction with something I built myself. Sven
  4. I have no problems understanding the ban on enamels. What I said was that I have a hard time understanding why acrylic paint is treated the same when there is no ban on those paints.
  5. Hello I have now been able to order the British railways colours from Lifecolor sold by the Airbrushes.com No problem at all. Lets just hope that Lifecolor expands their range to other periods than BR. Sven
  6. I really appreciate seeing a test build like this. Even if I am not interested in this particular railway I am interested in the Princess and an A3 when they come out. Good job Finney7 And I always enjoy your builds Dikitriki Sven
  7. Ok Thanks everyone I will have a look at Airbrush company. My own eperience of over 20 years ago with Humbrol acrylics was not very upplifting. They may be a lot better nowadays but I have not even considered them to be honest. I have tried Vallejo and lifecolor in my airbrush. I really prefer using an Airbrush for painting my 7mm kits.I Someone suggested that I used Vallejo model paint. I would do that if someone told me what would be the close to British railway colours. I dont trust myself and my eyes to make those shades out. Sven
  8. Yes enamels are banned but not acrylics/ water based paints
  9. I don't remember when it was dropped but think it was 2 years ago. One have no problems at all ordering modelling paint from Britain but for some reason I can't find Railway specific colours. Sven
  10. Can someone please point me to a shop that send acrylic paint in Railway colours abroad. I have checked for example Railmatch. But the people that sell them seem to be under the impression that Royal mail still have a ban on acrylics. Thank you Sven
  11. Does anyone have a set of these instructions? I have the wagon minus the instructions. Sven
  12. Hi again. I live in Limassol. That is the Greek part(well my family think the whole island is Greek) I don't know many people besides myself who do model railway here. Sven
