Well they have managed to get something out of me the last few announcements. So I certainly won't complain if there nothing southern wise this time. For EFE Maybe a LSWR horsebox? That would be a pretty little thing... The third booster maybe? 

Odds are though its an efe 14xx based on the DJM tooling. 

A high spec reasonably priced tank engine? That could be used on the GWR branch layouts? And fully compensated?

I have been running and servicing quite a bit of stock from storage. As the models get newer the packaging gets more elaborate. Now I am probably not alone in owning perhaps more rolling stock that your layout can accommodate. Getting the stock in and out of the boxes can be a real ball ache. How about some sort of foam storage trays that would hold stock safely but offer easy access. I know there are solutions available but I think something from a proper manufacturer would be great, especially if it has that Rapido touch. Be great for transporting stock to clubs or exhibitions. And good advertising if there are Rapido trays everywhere. Of you wanted to take your new Rapido goods engine, rake of wagons and brake van to your friends house it would be great to have a handy size flight case or something. Ok so not a super exciting locomotive ( like a LBSCR L class hint hint) but definitely something everyone no matter the era or geographical region could use if made well.

A LSWR T3 should be on the cards from someone. It's just who announces it and when. I suspect Bachmann or EFE for Kernow. 

Thanks. I like to model the grouping period currently mixing the new grouping liveries with the former. 

Looking at the big 4 limited editions. Is the southern joyous gard in 1923 condition? I know it's pre deflectors but that is longer than you would think. 

I would have thought the T3 would be on Hornby's hit list. What with the observation car, MK1 and maunsell in the range. A Swanage train pack would be an instant win you would think. 

Anyway... I wonder if the good people at Rapido would consider an O1 train pack at some point? Seems like there are a nice selection of wagons in the range to match. Maybe with some sort of extra to lure people like unique wagon loads or something? A nice crew? 

Very much looking forward to the O1. And hopefully someone will produce the T3, to with the EFE cross country sets if nothing else! I'm sure Rapido have their plate full. Although the tender from the O1 could be reused... A LBSC box van would go nicely with the E1... 

This one has 1995 on the etch so perhaps it's an updated version. I got passed this from another chap who bought it years ago. Poor sod picked this one as a first etched brass kit and it put him off for about 30 years! 

Thanks for that, this has been more useful than the instructions supplied. It's slightly different to my one as that has a knife edge or something that slots together on the bolster rather than the wire arrangement. The brake gear twists as a one piece affair rather than the individual halfs you have as well. Much appreciated! 

I have to say I was very impressed with the prototype on display. Will definitely be having one of those.

I have a SEF D1 on the bench. It's the same basic kit as the wills with a newer etched chassis. The dimensions are correct for the E1. But that has been put on pause since I discovered the C14 kit existed. That will be next in line :) 

That's a big help thanks! Not to be too much of a pain in the arse but is there any chance of a picture from the top side? 

Hello. I don't suppose anyone has built a kit from Caley coaches and is able to pop a bogie off or grab a picture from underneath a coach? The instructions are rather vague and I'm struggling to make sense of the parts. It's a compensated bogie in two half's that rock. I have unlisted tabs in the middle and a listed tab to fold over that is not going to fit how its explained. Any help please would be much appreciated!

On the three pack for rails yes. These are individual general release and the LBSC wagons are new. Good news all round.

Will you guys knock it off for a bit! Every time I think I'm clear, BOOM new announcement. The LBSC wagons will have to be purchased and the early SECR wagons to go with the rails SER break van. 

Given all the research that goes into these would it be possible to mark the PO wagons home turf on the website? Like the era system of something.

I know they all travelled around but it would be useful if you was trying to make up a local goods. 

I'm sure it has been asked somewhere in the last 20 pages but are there any plans to offer individual vans at some point in southern livery? 

That "sport" where people stand there and slap each other in the face meets all criteria. But that's as dumb as it sounds. 

I think the one that got away was the LMS 4P tank engine from the 1995 Hornby catalogue. I almost bought it from Jennings at Waltham cross with some birthday money. I can't actually remember what I bought instead, I think some wagons. 

Most nostalgic for me is the tender drive schools class, particularly repton.

Brilliant, my mate missed out and now he can get in on the P class. Nice one.

My pair have moved over successfully, hassle free. Are the production quantities changing? Some previously sold out models are showing still available to preorder. 

I would like to open up a passenger fitted MK1 just to see how many you get. 

Well the video it's self was very clean. I had previously criticised the production quality but that was a lot better. Well done Bachmann.

I will be picking up the post war figure sets. Probably won't grab the lime light but they are a great addition. 

I never understand how people are surprised or annoyed by duplication.

There is a common wishlist that the manufacturers look at. Manufacturers who aren't allowed to reveal to each other what they are working on. And in the last couple of years it's frowned upon to declare it unless it's on the verge or release. It's like if I gave everyone a shopping list and complained you all came back with eggs. What do you expect to happen? And the idea that certain locomotives belong to certain companies is also ridiculous. Best model wins, end of. 

Well the coupler is a great addition. If they are working on a retooled 08 or something in the background... Makes you wonder what they will announce tomorrow if they let this one out early.
