That is some loco Brian, well done buddy. I’ve been to busy for modelling at the moment due to house work and life getting in the way, but reading your progress has got me chomping at the bit to pull my finger out lol keep up the good work bud -

That looks amazing, very impressive. Modelling at its best. I’ve built the Stevenson carriage ones ( needed 8 to run my mail train ) I was going to modify some Hornby ones but a close friend ( passed away in 2020) Persuaded me to get them and now they are A tribute to him.

There are 2 types of x8849 one is 26teeth thin cog is bigger than the fat one (that’s not the one ) and the other one is a thin small gear and a larger thick gear. It’s the second one I need. I have 3 of the 26 teeth ones but I need the 21 teeth version. Or a gear from another part no

Hi all I’ve got a problem with one of my black 5 locos, the main gear has split but the part I need X8849 21 teeth but cannot get hold of one anywhere. is there another part I can use it’s the one where the 2 gears are together and it’s the small thin 21 tooth gear that has split thanks mark towers

I’m still a mom covering from Hellifield to blea moor, down to Blackburn then over to littleborough then to hebeden bridge. The area we cover is big compared with some of the other areas that moms cover. mid I get chance I will get some shots for you. -

I have had a few problems with Hornby and the mazak Rot. move spoken to Hornby and they have been so helpful and sorted the locos out free of charge, even when they have been over 10 years old. the latest one was a class 31 I bought years ago on eBay, spoke to them and they have agreed to replace it. Because I bought it in working order and over time it failed -
Hi Jeff, yea me with dug the pug lol kids and the Mrs are doing well. eldest is learning to drive and she is doing ok Adam is doing ok riding and on the computer all the time and Emily is turning 7 this year, how time has gone lol I am still on the railway but as a mobile operations manager now going to Incidents and Signal Box visits

Managed one photoBucks lane appeared at the Macclesfield show last weekend and it ran very well, just need to have a few running sessions to familiarise themselves I only Managed one photo. thanks to all the people who put the show on.

I’ve been watching your videos on the layout, absolutely stunning Richard. your attention to detail is brilliant keep up the good work St Simon them point motors we call them M63 or knuckle scrapers we still have a few on the patch. -

Bucks lane won’t be there unfortunately, the layout requires some TLC after it’s move. I was asked if I could bring it but it needs a bit of work to get it back to a standard I’m happy with I should say it will be ready by the end of December beginning of January. I should update this post more often or I might get told off

I only go as far as the points at Blea moor, the rest of the moor is another patch
