Home from York now. The best York show I've been to. Lots of 2FS which was very pleasing. Friendly chat with some layout operators and genuine advice from Eileens. Thanks for a great show. Now to unpack the goodies.

I'd love a bit of an update too, if there is anything to give.
It obviously isn't on the cards currently (judging by the website) but it would be great to see a DCC Sound option available as there is for 00.

Thank you. I've just ordered mine

Thanks for the tutorial which is much more helpful than the instructions that came with the couplings.
Many thanks
Stuart
My apologies for bringing up this old thread. I'm doing some DG Coupling research having restarted my failed attempts to get going with 2mm and I found this thread very useful. The provided link here didn't work so I did a bit a bit of digging and managed to find it. It was certainly worth it, I'm sure it'll be really useful. Hopefully it'll be useful for others too.

Since there's no way to pre-order on his website I've done so, for two, with Hatton's.

Exciting news! Can't wait!

Truly inspirational work! Now following.

Rather impressed with the official video I hope the sound fitted 37 will sound as good!
There's a sound fitted 37 coming?

Beautiful! An inspiration!

Thanks, I'll take a look.

OK, no problem, thanks anyway. I'm guessing you don't have any operational problems? I have a half laid layout (currently using code 55) and want to use code 40 for the remaining sidings etc. but I would be using peco pointwork. I might be tempted to give code 40 a go if I can make the two work well but then there's the problem of looks. Might it look dreadful to have the beauty of code 40 against code 55 point work?

I can't remember how much I needed to pack them when I joined Finetrax to Peco (and can't access the sections of the layout where I did it to measure at the moment, but it was not much. I soldered the joint which worked well. As it was a non scenic section I used a small section of brass rod to reinforce the joint on the outside of the track.
Do you have a photo this at all? I'd be very interested to see it.

Is there any news on this project?

I've ordered a triple pack of Esso and a triple unbranded.

i think these look amazing! Particularly like the coal sector. I've done a quick Google and couldn't find the answer so, Dave could you tell me what the main differences are between the Doncaster and Romanian built engines? Or will they look very simialr? Do you have any idea at this stage as to what liveries you'll be producing for the Doncaster locos? Thanks!

I'm waiting for the Thompsons too. If they were cheaper I'd have already bought the Birdcage stock as rule but I think I'll have to wait and see. Having seen them at the York show today, they're worth the money but I have to save the pennies where I can.
