Trouble with the CBF is that the engines were evolved from the Hornet, not direct from the CBR, and the Hornets were notoriously thirsty. CBF's also notoriously dull.
Having a 2001 Hornet sitting in my garage at this moment I can back up what Mike said above! Lovely bikes though. Still reckon CBR600F. Nice all rounder with a bit of fun factor attached.
