  1. Just received pack C I believe, I have to admit I wasn’t going to buy these until I decided to model a few diesels, after receiving 37-607 simply stunning I have to say. The more you look the more you see. I decided to get one pack for now, wow the detail is mind blowing. I did spend ten minutes trying to get the lights to work using a Riga fridge magnet has no magnetic wond is provided, is this normal? Then I discovered batteries are not either. I think a second pair are definitely going to have to be bought. Job well done by the lads at Accurascale
  2. Surely if you were a good boss the restrictions placed on your good self would be higher. Due to the fact that any negative reactions from a potential customer no matter the seen justification, impact more then yourself. Ie your employees and the company itself.
  3. After play a with 607 currently set has none esu 2/4/5/6 on. F 1 turn the fan side red marker lights on/off F2 turns turns opposite red maker lights on/off. when F4 is in use ie ON it turns the cab desk lights off! NOT ON. the light switch (F0) function tunes the outermost white lights on in direction of travel. all over functions keys 3/5-20 do nothing. so no cab light, no engine room lights no roof mounted lights do the bigger central light of the cluster work? Cus they don’t. dcc controller used, gauge master advanced / and now the old Bachmann Dynamis, decoder in the loco is a 21 pin zen black. I do have a 21 pin zen blue which might be tried next. I am a little frustrated with it at the moment.
  4. Well I’m sorry for your problems, I’m sure, well hope there’s no problem with the gauge master controller. I have run main on a test track with a very old rocket controller with no problems. Fingers crossed yours is sorted out soon. personally I think I’m going to have to get some new batteries and dig out my old Bachmann controller to make use of the lights. yes the Accurascale model is lovely, still finding little things on it that just give it the fizz compared to the Bachmann one.
  5. Sorry to jump on Mevaman1 bandwagon, I don’t have any problems with 37607 other than Gauge master advanced controller only have 12 function keys! It’s just occurred to me, if I set the main board micro switches to dc and with a dcc decoder fitted . Will I get the standard light function with front and back lights on in the direction of running. With out damaging anything?
  6. Looks like none of the micro switches are in the one position on the main board. 1-4 are off 5&6 are only half way. When I bought 607 lights worked fine on dc added the decoder after switching the micro over for none esu decoder. Lights now don’t work properly on DC but work fine when on the dcc layout.
  7. Well what can I say, well waiting for 37-258&609 to arrive next year. I’ve been reading through these page and wanted to join the party! Having sold some stuff I had some credit at a certain store. So I bought two models sound fitted 37 800 sound fitted wow it’s a super model and the sound is excellent to me anyway, yes yes its Bachmann don’t tell anyone they well never noticed. (800 was photographed at Leicester so had to have it) I also got for less I might add 37-607 not sound fitted (was just beaten to the last one). sitting here looking at both. Both are super models at 3 feet but 37 607 is just that little bit better on everything. Excellent work from Accurascale on delivering such a beautifully detailed model at a price more affordable to many people. ps 901 would be a nice, please.
  8. Going great guns, the little shelter looks lovely. It must have been very dark inside though. Just wondering did it have windows in the Back.
  9. a little help required please, I been running my 55005 on my layout. Now I understand a diesel doesn’t have a front and back cab! But has the control says forward we will stick with it for now. The decoder is a dccconcepts black and the controller is the Gauge master advanced. The model runs beautifully and pulls anything asked of it. But lights I have only the head lights on with the light button (f10) nothing else comes on. No other F button f1-f12 dose anything! Apart from f11 which operates the front marker light! Doesn’t matter which direction the loco is set to the marker lights are always on the same end.is it down to not having enough function buttons on my controller or Is it a case of getting In touch Accurascale to get it sorted. I’m tempted to get the Accurascale sound decor but would like to get the model sorted beforehand.
  10. Well I’ve got a little tired of steam and I’m currently doing some diesel modelling for the time being. I’ve had an itch for a while that’s seemed to be growing. Has much as I’ve enjoyed building the steam locomotives I’ve not had the urge to run them. However I’ve seen some lovely modern day layouts topics on this site and I think I’ve turned to the dark side. I’ve had a few 1st generation diesels ever since I got back into the hobby, but have since bought a couple of the centraltrains 170s which I’ve fitted LEDs lights also bought a Bachmann 70 which I have to admit is a splendid model. Some Accurascale 37s and a 66 on order. What’s is the idea for the layout? unsure I think I’m just going to relax and enjoy running the models more. Though living in Leicester a layout based on Leicester L.I.P. Sound intriguing it’s never going to be an exact replica due to space but an excellent excuse run pretty much anything. For that to happen need to get in touch with Hattons to offload some stock now surplus to requirement first.
  11. Oh dear I’ve buckled! The sound decoder is just going to have to wait until later.just added 609 to go with 258. I suppose I can get the sound decoders later.
  12. What do mean no longer new, I’m camping out on the door step right now for both 37258, and 66507dc, ok I have a few payments to make but still something to look forward to. So this could carry on for at least six more months.
  13. In what way? If you could use them pm me
  14. Learn something new, Well after reading your message it does seem to have a little movement in it even when holding the motor shaft still. But I have no need for it so it’s in the box with other parts not needed. As for the 170s one is in bits the outer cars have oo wheels fitted the centre car has a new motor and motor mount fitted along with the drive shaft also fitted. But the gears on the driving coach wheels are trash, teeth are bent and causing the whole thing to lock up both sets. Typically Bachmann have no spares, but do have the who bogies with drive tower. Which might be best has the ones I have might also be damaged has something damaged the gears on the wheels. the other 170 is done all dcc fitted one in each car and the lights are also converted to LEDs I went for the Illuminated models kit, the dcc socket helped, that and Express models being sold out when I ordered them. Will get a second set soon. I have to say it’s a lovely little model running around the layout very pleased with it. Hope to have the second done soon.
  15. View Advert LNWR precedent dcc fitted used a couple of time dcc chip fitted all detail parts in bag unopened. Runs fine Advertiser farren Date 20/08/23 Price £150 Category OO / 4mm scale
  16. Well I’ve had the second one all out the em? Conversion was never fully finished. The drive car still has its original wheels and drive towers gear etc some that’s a little less work. The motor needs its mounting bracket and I’m missing a cardigan drive? (The stick thing) the motor that came with the model works and it has a massive brass weight plus 8 sets of em (18.2 mm gauge) wheels are not required. imagine below if anyone is interested in them
  17. I thought it would be that case. Thanks
  18. I’ve just picked up a couple of Bachmann 170s from eBay, and have to say they are lovely models. They are the older model with the motor just visible in the centre car but still I’m not complaining. One has never been out of the box and runs like a dream. The other one needs a new motor which turned up before the trains got here. But it has been re-gauged to em or p4 never remember. The wheels are 18.2 with a rule if that helps. I was wondering if anyone was planning to convert theirs. And would they be willing to swap for the standard wheel set? One wheel set is visible in the image if that helps. secondary How do you covert them to dcc? Obviously a decoder for the centre coach with the motor. But do I need on in each end coach to work the lights?
  19. Good luck with the house move, hope all goes well and the decoration doesn’t become too much of a headache. it will be very interesting to see the new layout evolve and come together. I’m in a similar position with stock at the moment. I have something around 70 locos. And to be honest many don’t get run anywhere near enough to justify keeping them. I have recently bought an old Lima HST which has had some body repair work done to it and the yellow is drying has I type. So currently thinking about layout based in the 70/80s. I do like the shelter.
  20. Thank you, I think you are right I’ve down some of the wheels again this time I dug out the mini drill with the wire brush and went to town on a couple of the wheels and it seems to have worked the locomotive is running much better needs a good running in session. And the brake gear needs a little adjustment now but it works. Think it needs some weight adding has it’s a little over 3,1/2 ounces has it stands
  21. Has anyone ever had a faulty set Market wheels before? Erratic motor, running runs for a bit then stops sometimes restarts sometimes have to reset the transformer. smoke can sometimes be seen coming off the wheels and sparks on the wheel backs. I have cleaned the wheels with isopropanol alcohol, didn’t work white spirit and even sand paper the back face still happening. Checked the chassis brake rigging all clear of the wheel guards are not touching the track. Have re-wired it all using plastic bodied plunger pick ups swapped the motor out and still is not working. Fitting flat washers behind the wheels, Last option is to get a new set of wheels.
  22. Well after a slight problem with the wiper pickups I decided to switch to the plunger type unfortunately I bent some of the brake gear so decided to strip the whole chassis back its parts and start again. The motor runs fine but can’t move the chassis with one set of wheels. There’s a slight concern I get a little plumb of smoke from the back right wheel. I’m guessing it’s something burning off maybe oil or something. Has the motor is unaffected and the transformer doesn’t trip. Nothing is touching such as breakgear. But will give it a wash tomorrow and see if that cures it.
  23. Major breakthrough today the wheels have arrived, yes we can gloss over the fact that some person in the works department ordered 3 wheels the first time thinking 3 was 3 sets. But anyway the model is on its wheels the motor is in only temporary at the moment. Will be removed well the brakes and other bits are fixed. Might need to shave a mm or 2 of the motor’s rear part of the shaft it fits but once wired up it might course problems.
  24. Quite a bit of work has been done, I’ve fitted the boiler dome chimney water feed for the tank. The roof has some sprung brass soldered to keep the roof in place plus lots of other little bits lamp irons steps and a strip on the grate etc. some rivet detail will be added with the help of rivet transfers when the model is in its undercoat. spotted a bit to adjust thanks to the images. That rivet strip just behind the chimney will never do.
  25. Dose anyone know where I can get a 18mm midland style smoke box door. The ones with the dog leg bolts please
