I think this page needs an update as I have information that it might now have a detailed interior and tiled roof now young Jedi.

@Captain Kernow is giving Sam's Trains a run for his money with carpet modelling.

Heartbreaking and what a waste.

Interested in trying those panel washes Mick and wondered where you source them please.

I’m a big fan of Treemendus bark powder over the trunk and branches. It dries a nice colour or can be painted etc.

Next time you see a good deal like that can you give me a nod please, excellent work all round.

What colour did you use to weather the tracks ?

Someone is trying to tell me something as I received my unpainted version today and it's pinky red. It was grey on the website. Really like how easily the body/roof/chassis come apart for the detailing though.

I might change my mind by the time I get round to the paint job.

The Dapol website is notoriously bad to search so have you a link to the page with the undecorated models on please.

A very nice finish on them Mark.

Nice work as usual Mark. H & A models sell etched tiebars from Cambrian in different wheel bases.

A bit of an update on this wagon after @toboldlygo gave it some airbrush treatment over my work. Still a bit of a work in progress including some rather nice oil stains under the tank.

Some more lighter weathering [717] added to the edges and it has company with an old Mainline bogie bolster.

Thanks Tony, what a fantastic photo find.

Nice work Rob. I haven't tried the Lifecolor range but might give them a go if I can find any here.
Their names alone ("warm light", "wood cool") have a definite feel-good factor about them
Eileen's Emporium and Hobby Holidays both stock them and they're available on Ebay too.

A bump for this blog as now I've seen and run these wagons in the flesh they really are a credit to their builder.
A cold morning at Pensyflog, Porthmadog

Nice to see they're correctly social distanced even if it's 1954 and a very much different world back then.
