Now you're talking and I know someone who follows this thread who has one and he's going to the Warley show in a couple of weeks.I might bump into him.Two and two make.....
Absolutely and I wish I'd quizzed my late grandma on the South Hams during the war as I know they lived in Salcombe at the time. She remembered the US army soldiers.
Excellent find David and a post war Bristol,Newton and Plymouth one here too http://www.michaelclemensrailways.co.uk/default.aspx?atk=200
If you look he's ticked off 4547 so perhaps we should do one for this thread.
Now you're talking Mike and I can vouch for Larry's yellow dots as I have some. Off topic I know but I still haven't got a Star and I started this thread. So there.
I'm hoping that Bachmann do another set of these too. http://www.ehattons.com/42786/Bachmann_Branchline_37_095_Pack_of_3_7_plank_Coal_trader_private_owner_wagons_weathered/StockDetail.aspx
It's a bitterly cold but sunny day stood on the down platform at Brent.I don't know about a 7200 and still no Star but anything will do at the moment......
I thought I'd show the underframe detail of the Y3 fruit van.I didn't build it it I might add.Very detailed and very complicated if you ask me.
Anyone going to the Warley show will be glad to hear that Alan Gibson has his stand [D39] for the correct bogie wheels,he might sell out ! and Steam Swindon will be there for us to ask when we are getting Lode Star.I won't be asking Mr Kohler.
I see those very nice Bachmann wagons are available in a three pack with P numbers.Would I be ok to use them with my current private owners I use post war or would I need to remove the P ?
Hattons list them both as BR wagons and suitable for the big four era. So what year did they get the P ?

That's clever as you can use a name suitable for the period on the tender.Just got to watch about the pipes certain members had in this case.4019 had hers fitted in 1948 Mike.
The highly respected modeller John Cherry is poking fun at us GWR fanatics on MREmag and apparently the black five has had the wrong bogie wheels for 5 years. That's ok then.A good day.
