Mike Storey - Thanks for your comment. I also use the same method for glazing card buildings - bonding a paper or thin card frame to the plastic glazing with solvent, then gluing the frame inside the window opening with PVA.

Mikkel - Thanks. The scene didn't come out quite as I'd envisioned it, but I'm happy enough with the result. As to the chickens, they were added partly as a strand linking the opening waffle with the rest, and partly out of devilment. Whether they'll stay around for the exhibition, or range freely to some other part of the works off scene, is anyone's guess.

No, no - you must keep them - feral chickens are a major part of any industrial scene these days, now that you are not allowed to shoot them without a permit. A friend of mine, until recently, happily ran a scrap yard/nuclear waste depository, somewhere in Essex obviously, but the wildlife incursion, mainly domestic fowl released by their owners who had not considered the long term demands of highly active cocks, made it an increasingly complex business to operate, what with the paperwork. Mainly Rhode Island Reds, Leghorns and the particularly vicious Anconas. Unlike turkeys, chickens are not just for Christmas......

With its toxic output, you may want a few with two heads or similar??
