      onal interest such as shunting capability, etc etc. Ideally i'm looking to create a layout that is less than the typical 6x4 OO plan but has loops and shunting capability too.

       

      I've of a mind to purchase one of Dapol's A3's which are currently on offer and start from there however welcome any advice in starting out in N from experienced and new to the scale alike.

       

      I couldn't find a specific forum on RMWeb hence my request.

      Hi Wherry (great name btw; one of my all time favourite ales).

       

      I normally model coarse scale O gauge however the size of the layout required to do it justice means I have track I assemble and dissassemble as and when I want to run it.

       

      As much as I love that scale, I've wanted something more permanent to develop, play with, etc. My house isn't large enough for a decent OO layout (my ideal layout has sufficient size to model decent length trains with some operati...
