Thanks Peter Very best wishes to you and your family.

That's a real gold mine you've found there. The sort of finds I can only dream of. Any of the Airfix 1/600 scale ships which haven't been recently re-released often sell for silly prices... so I won't mention how much I paid for my HMS Fearless

Class 37s on parcel trains
60091 replied to aeroplane's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
37202 May 1983, with an evening parcels train from Manchester Piccadilly. Up until shortly before the photo was taken this had been a regular Class 40 working. -
On November 13th Andy Kirkham mentioned the Adventures In Plastic/Bachmann Thunderbirds kits - Here they are... Fireflash and TB3, both 1/350, as originally produced by Aoshima, and on the "to do" list TB1, 2 and the famous pink Rolls Royce from AIP. TB2 comes with a very small TB4 which is also available as a 1/48 scale model. TB5 is only available as a "diorama" with TB3. Expensive at £75 and listed as "no scale" ! ...and there's The Mole which is 1/72.

A great find and an excellent restoration job. The type of challenge I'd really enjoy. Well done... Alan

Still enjoy operating the S&C layout - 10 years old now and due for a refurbishment. The West Yorkshire layout which morphed into Scotland east coast/Fife will probably morph into a skip next year Despite three rebuilds I've never been totally happy with it and have always hesitated when thinking about putting it on rmweb.

Hi Peter Another great set of photos. I always like that you include a storyline to explain the latest comings and goings at Llanbourne. Keep up the good work.. Regards Alan

Ark Royal IV 1/700 From the Atlantic Models/Starling Models kit. Resin kit with photo etched brass detailing. The kit is waterline only so I tried to re-create one of those classic photos of the Ark with her bows digging in to a heavy sea. The base should probably have been bigger but I live in a small house and I'm running out of space to display stuff.. Took about 2 months to complete, working slowly, as I've found it's best to leave working with photo etched brass well alone unless in the right frame of mind to tackle it.

How about a couple of snowploughs? NW would have a different design but here are NE region ones at Thornaby and Gateshead, early/mid 1990s.

Ridding Mill, September 1999. Hartlepool - Sellafield. Not a very clear shot of the wagons. Are these the exPFAs with lower centres which originally held the coal containers?

Hope these might be of interest. Both photos would be Sellafield-Hartlepool-Sellafield. Hexham, September 1999. Sunderland, February 1999.
