Don't blame your local WHS branch. I was told some time ago by the staff in Newtown that Smiths HQ would quite often delete a magazine from their list; they found out when it didn't arrive.
Jonathan
To be honest I agree. The staff in WHS on the ground who I have spoken with about 103 have been very professional and have been very accommodating to assisting in the hunt for my elusive prey. I feel they are taking the brunt of HQ’s lack of customer focus. Also, similar to a fellow contributor to this thread, I am seriously contemplating the ditching WHS going forward to being a source of buying publications....

I have seen nothing in a few WHS yesterday in the Surrey area - apparently still with the distributor.......? The hunt will continue today....... GBMRG

Good day all,
Looks like it may be 25th October according to the newsagents’ / magazine website...... It has been a very long year for this edition.
Best regards,

Thank you for the replies!
I have to agree, the hunt is nearly as good as the magazine.
Back to keeping KV........

Good day,
Just wondering if anyone has seen the last elusive edition of the GWRJ.....
The magazine website indicated a few days ago that it was to be published this week.
Very many thanks and best wishes to all,

Time for issue 102 now ?
Keith.
And true to form the April publishing date has moved into the guess a date zone. I have seen on the web end of May, can anyone confirm?
Best wishes,

Hello all,
A chance call into WHS (Windsor) today revealed some copies, and successfully obtained, after trailing round for the last few weeks of the quarterly hunt, which I do find part of the charm and building appreciation of the read!
I will be sorry to see the changes arrive but I can understand why. For such a specialist journal it has been a great legacy to modellers and historians alike.
All the best for the New Year,
GBMRG.

Hi,
I thought a good while ago that this little corner of Newport would make a great layout, either on its own or part of a larger one. A quick look on the internet has brought up the following:
http://railwayherald.com/imagingcentre/search/ by just typing in 'Godfrey'
Looking forward to seeing progress on this project and Ranlegh Bridge........
Best regards,

P.S. Having looked a bit further on https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=godfrey+road+newport and depending upon your era, there's more potential than I first thought..........!!!

Great stuff but would you have any idea of the RAR vehicle numbers involved?
Many thanks,

Hello.
I presume you have looked at http://www.signalbox.org/diagrams.php? Where there are a few diagrams in the Norwich area.

Many thanks, I have now placed an order on Amazon.
Just had a look at the plans, there would certainly be of use. They seem a bit expensive, so I will wait for the book to arrive as they may be in there. If they are not in the book then I will have to buy the ones that I need.
Hello again.
There are some signalling diagrams in the book along with the track plan and building elevations but may not be enough detail for your period.
Best regards,

Good day Graham,
A good source of track plans and buildings can be found in An Historical Survey of the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway by C W Judge from OPC [iSBN 0-86093-149-8].
Good luck with the layout as it'll be an interesting one to operate.
Hope this helps,
