Another great Scottish exhibition, well worth a visit from south of the border.
Superb selection of layouts, trade support in a great venue.- 1

Unfortunately can’t make it this year!
Well worth a visit even from Lancashire, great exhibition and venue. -

Has anyone noticed a reduced volume on certain releases?
My first 4 were relatively loud. 602 marginally quieter but perfectly acceptable. 609, significantly quieter than the rest. I have noticed that this has an accurathrash branded speaker unlike the other models that were just blank. I think the sugarcube is also crackling but after watching the roads and rails vid I am inclined to get rid of that anyhow!
I have reset and changed the volume to max and the loco can not be heard paired with the others. In a quiet room and prior to using any of the others it sounds decent but if you get another on the go, significantly quieter. Part of me doesn't mind because 609 was a right tub in this livery and sounded quiet and poor, but I hipe this isn't what is to come with furture releases, quieter models.
It certainly sounds a lot quieter than the roads and rails video of 609 which has that violent thrash that the rest of mine do. Anyone else had this issue?
Yes all my 37/6s are quieter than 37/4s but all have the master volume is set to 192. Is it possible that the master recording was set to a lower volume level before loading to the decoder?
Plus the loco sets off then releases the handbrake on all 37/6 locos!- 1

I do have two workarounds, one being much "easier" than the other. The more complex solution really needs the Lokprogrammer, as otherwise it requires a lot of CV changes. Let me know if you have a Lokprogrammer.
Sadly the behaviour is baked into the sound project.
Steve
Hi Steve,Thank you for the reply, I have Lokprogrammer. Find it strange that other AS37s I have don’t do this but the latest does🤔

Can’t remember, if there is a fix for not moving until step eight with sound on. With no sound on moves off on step one? This is with 97301 factory sound fitted.

Sorry Eric, missed the notification for this.
Running 4.2.10. firmware. So like you say will have to wait, I think ESU forget sometimes they are German and should be efficient 🤣I’ll have a play on lok-Progammer 👍

We won't release any remaining stock until every preorder is dispatched, so at the moment it's looking like another day or two.
Apologies for the small additional stretch
Any chance you can release the remaining stock in an evening or first thing in the morning?
Rather than mid morning, taking days off work to buy trains is starting to effect my workflow 🤣

Cheers fella,
In a hotel room currently, I’ll take a look later in the week and let you know 👍

Not sure if this is the best thread, any help would be appreciated.
ECoS not seeing V5 sound decoder reads as Generic NMRA on my controller as per the photo below.
ECoS is using the latest firmware.
I turned off railcom/railcom plus to stop CS MK5 coaches buzzing and have turned it back on but still doesn’t allow you to see the advanced menu settings and is still showing Generic NMRA and not ESU V5 even after a re-reading the decoder.
Do I need to delete the locos from the system which are affecting?Reset the ECoS?

Thank you for the replies guys.
I’m running the latest firmware and it’s been fine till this weekend.
Think I may have altered something within the settings mid week, not sure what!
I’ll ask on the ECoS thread and the ESU forum too. If no joy a system reset!

Yes several times with all 4 of them. I am really hoping some other ECoS users might have the answer to this or at least confirm my findings.
@Dicky L did you get to the bottom of this? I have the same issue, started yesterday for me out the blue! -

Our A Class Irish locomotive came with rotating axle boxes, as have our Tara mines wagons, and Keg, Fertiliser and container flat ranges in our Irish ranges without a single return or issue (some 60k+ vehicles). We've never had any issue with the technique or achieving reliable running and fidelity. HTH!
Sounds like you guys need to look into a 66 😂- 1

Liking what you’ve done with your wagons, it’s given me something to aim for with mine. Can I just ask what you used to replicate the straps? I see from your Twitter account that you were going to try 1mm masking tape or dental floss. Did you end up using either?
Kind reagards. P.
Many thanks P.The 1mm masking tape was just too wide and not pliable enough for securing to the anchor points, whereas the non-waxed mint flavoured dental floss tape worked a treat. Picked mine up from Tesco’s 50m should last a lifetime…
HTH
