We all know about the famous slate-built water tower at Dolgoch station. As trains grew in length it became necessary to build a new one a few yards up the line. Now, this is not a criticism but a question; does anyone know why this has been left as a rather temporary-looking structure, a bit ugly, rather than replicating the original slate tower? It spoils the look of an otherwise delightful station.
