It seems people think i've disappeared i am still involved with this even tho folk are saying its just Dave Jones.I don't get involved with the arguments regarding anything on here but doing the promotion for this model.Dave Jones is doing all the design work but if it's not right i will still have a say.Ive spoke to loads of apt customers who are happy with the way myself and Dave have gone about this project. I will be attending the scanning party even tho some folk have said i won't be and look forward to it.

Quick question Dave....
Noticed a small discrepancy between your train configuration document and what’s advertised on DToS website... the 10 car set, how many powered power cars are there? Website says 2, your document says 1....
Thanks
Andrew
Hi Andrew its 2 power cars 1 x powered = 49006 1 x dummy 49003 City of Derby hope this helps.

I may have missed this on the spec, but will the nose be operational, ie can be raised so that the set can be hauled at the pointy end?
Hi Yes i intend to able to lift the front for towing. This has been asked a lot and i feel if i didn't do it then it limits the use of it not under the wires.

What is the setup for anyone who wants to change their order? I could still be tempted by a 10-car set... (having already ordered a 7-car one).
If you want to change your order reorder in your account but email me so i can cancel your old order. Hope that makes sense.

Added by me due to popular demand and this will be the only change.

I am sure that does not stop some from buying from DToS and then selling them: it has happened before with other exclusives. Also, it may be in DToS interest to let it happen if it makes an otherwise unviable project viable.
Roy
Folk have already seen the way to buy and make money. IE customers are saying to buy small and add to it so the ones buying say the 14 car and making what they want out the the pack then selling the rest of the coaches on ebay. if will happen its happened with APT-E

Myself and DJ Models with crowdfunding and hoping to produce the APT-P only announced at Warley at the weekend its doing very well indeed with interest as far as Australia.
Just go to durhamtrainsofstanley.co.uk to see the formations.

In conversing with Mick,
It's been made aware that a black fronted 6 car set could be on the cards - the condition and formation that the preserved set is at Crewe. If anyone else wants this variant please contact Mick, as the more of us there are that want it, the more chance of it becoming an option.
What we really need in the description is where the TRSB sits in each set, along with the previously promised coach and full unit numbers. I do feel that to have both the six and seven car sets with yellow fronts is a slight disappointment as it would be nice to have a mix of fronts in those more affordable half length sets.
Cheers,
60800
we will endeavor to full fill all requests regarding the frontends. I don't see it being a problem.I will confirm this after speaking to Dave Jones.

I spoke with Durham trains today, he mentioned he had over 200 requests at Warley for a 00 one, and his numbers to make it viable were starting to look quite attractive, even though he hasn’t even announced it.
I think it’s looking like confidence is there to do a OO one as the discussion even went on to lights, couplings, connections, as well as power cars, liveries for a OO one :-)
A show of hands might be good, I think an APT in OO is also a bit overdue.

Can i just add, that although i may not have told everyone, the exact situation regarding DJM and his Paypal problems (there would be a lot to phone or mail anyway, and the web site here is much better for that), that i do and did know of the situation prior to the scanning at Crewe.
It may have been an assumption on my behalf that everyone knew, but nothing was held back on purpose, and the fact that we are not taking money at present because of this should not present anyone with a problem if they are not out of pocket.

Mick
