  1. Update...I've oversprayed the Halfords Green with Railmatch BR green. I had to mask the yellow end which was fairly successful with a bit of seep. Looks OK now and I've fettle the yellow ends as well. It's also had the light grey side band added plus the sound module. Just a bit more to do and then I'll post a photo of the final result.

  2. Not sure where to ask for help on this. I need a sound module for the class 43 (Big Warship) for the above mentioned JLTRT O gauge loco. Basically it would be 2 x class 22 sound but when I've made enquiries at shows I've had no success. Anyone suggest someone who could put the sound on a Loksound V4 (not VL4 as large module is not needed)

Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

  3. Thanks for the feedback

I've looked at the two images but it's extremely difficult to check them as such small images.....am I doing something wrong? I would probably go for the G46 B3 but I cant really tell from this. Certainly, when built, the shade of BR green was dark and would fade in service. I have actually mixed a tin of the real stuff and it started as yellow and after 15 minutes of stirring with a drill and a paddle the green started to come through. This confirms that BR green has a considerable "yellow" aspect and if you look at it with this in mind you can actually see this. The forum on colours is very interesting if a little too deep for me. I was involved in printing and PANTONE colours were always associated with inks NOT paints.

Anyway, I hear all the comments on car sprays and have to accept that, for whatever reason, the shade is way out and I wont allow these to be used these again. I guess Railmatch is the best option but do a test spray first. Anyone got experience with Railmatch BR green on O gauge locos?

Finally, would still appreciate comments on how to solve this disaster. Is the tinted varnish a possibility?
