  1. Over the festive period, had time to install my 4 track staging yard, wasn't happy with the small yard at lakehurst, the track there now comprises of, a main (centre road) short off spot track and a interchange track.
  2. There was only one 308 working when i was there in the late 90's, mainly 311 doing dock jobs, still plenty of "taxi" liveries knocking about.
  3. It is now official, 59th and Rust has been retired, decision to be made on it's future in the new year, scrap or sell!!
  4. Try turning the volume down, sounds like over driving the amp,2 pence worth
  5. out of 5 of those 8 days i was away, so this is the state of play, track laid ,wired and led lights rewired, probably start a new thread in new year, still working on building type, location and railroad, but will be an urban industrial layout.

  7. It's a RENFE 7800 (278) class electric https://transpressnz.blogspot.com/2016/03/renfe-class-7800-electric-locomotive.html
  8. It's a AHM/IHC/Mehano GP18, not sure if UP had HH GP18's, think they only had ex MP low nose GP18's
  9. When i retired ,i no longer needed a larger car, so down sized to medium hatchback, neither of the two older exhibition layouts would fit and with the extra cost of van hire, made them a tad expensive to invite for a smallish layout. Any new build's, will be made to fit the new car like Franklin falls.
  10. A more compacted layout that fits in the car, EOTS needed van hire my main decision to scrap it.
  11. No, was sober when the decision was made, but had sleepless nights since the dismantling started

  16. Another can of worms, every railroad had there own version of box car red/brown Which would you says the right colour!!!!
