Don't know if the following link would be of any interest? One of the images shows a tank wagon on a demonstration lift by a steam breakdown crane, during an open day at Immingham MPD in September 1974.

I'm prepared to buy that. The angle is very acute making it hard to be absolutely certain but having blown the image up as large as I can and gone over it with a pointy thing i can indeed only count five windows in total. I can't readily trace any official declassifications of CK coaches but do have a vague recollection that some (possibly only one seen multiple times) existed - even if unofficially - and with markings removed but first class seating in tact. I also travelled on the trains in question numerous times and observed them on many more occasions though without taking detailed notes or photos at the time.
I reckon it is a BCK. It IS difficult to count the precise number of windows... but count the number of 'bumpstops' on the side of the rear of the coach, the number and position of 'running boards', and it would appear to indicate only one set of double doors in the brake section (not two, as per a BSK - the first coach in the rake)?

There are strong rumours that Weymouth will be getting a turntable for the summer steam - will save having to run to Yeovil Junction and back for turning. Apparently NR are leaving it to WCRC to progress...

A few interesting conversions on the drawing board then - NPX (GUVs previously converted for Newspaper traffic) and NNX (BSK previously converted for use as a Courier van - an early use of roller shutters prior to their widespread use on the "super GUVs" and "super BGs")? Items of rolling stock with their own history which could be told?
As far as the ECS workings to St Blazey, I would have assumed that this might not have happened until Mail trains were operated by EW&S - and the TOC that wanted to possibly reduce costs and make best use of resources centred it's Far West England operations on St Blazey? However, as some have proposed it may have purely come down to limited capacity at Long Rock... Nevertheless there is always room for supposition and the pretence of a trial workings, or alternative servicing arrangements being required - due to the curtailment of a service or temporary unavailability of the permanent facilities, caused by adverse weather or a derailment etc..

Hi guys,
I have (at last) located the March 2011 issue of Rail Express, which carried a "Modeller's Guide to Sectorisation parcels trains" in the Rail Expree Modeller supplement. I have scanned the seven pages including the pictorial diagram of Parcels sector TPO train formations (1986-91) and Rail express systems TPO train formations (1991-96). The scan is in PDF format - how do I upload it to the 'community', previously I have only pasted a link to you-tube videos (which already exist on the net)?

Posted 03 December 2011 - 11:40TPO's?Remember them?The plan is to model the Penzance TPO, which I believe, ran back up to St Blazey due to a lack of space at Long Rock.Should add a splash of colour.....Sorry to come in after the discussion has progress onto something else (only discovered the site yesterday and joined today). Indeed the stock and loco for 1C01 Penzance - Bristol TPO was serviced and St Blazey. And if I remember rightly (from the DVD "Special Delivery"), part of preparing the stock involved turning the Sorting carriages on St Blazey's turntable, so that the main doors were facing the platform on the "Up" working; prior to marshaling the stock into the correct formation. There was also a "baggage tender" (non-sorting) TPO starting from Plymouth with locos serviced at St Blazey. (Which as I remember was double-headed on the day of filming.)The DVD "Special Delivery" was filmed in the last summer of the Cornish TPO's, capturing some of the working in daylight following the 19:35 departure from Penzance. With regards to military traffic, it might be worth mentioning that Issue 2 of Military Vehicle Magazine priced at £2.99 contains a 1/72 model of a Warrior MCV80. Although the model enclosed in the magazine carries sand camo circa 2003 Iraq, it's still quite good value and should be an easy enough job to repaint, whilst it saves having to make a kit?
