I love the Jinty photo, Harry, got a really good 'sunshine and shade' feel to it, in a large urban station perhaps?
It was taken in late afternoon, with the sun shining through the window and the jinty was there from the last running session already! I do see the urban point and even though its a modest country station, it could be easily part of an urban complex.

Well here are my attempts at this challenge, taken with an iPhone 5s, which allows me to get into small spaces and nice and low too. No alterations other than making them b/w and turning on or off lights accordingly.
Feel free to point out any inaccuracies, cheers Harry

Great work on the NCB wagon, but wouldn't the weathering be covered in coal dust as it is a coal wagon? Keep up the good work
Cheers Harry

So...it was mentioned before, and I said no. But I was in East Somerset Models yesterday, and saw a Farish bodyshell for sale. I spent the rest of the day thinking how best to achieve what I want...that is, a class 50!
The body will be given a nose job and detailed. The bogies are from the new model 37, at this point its sat on a pair from what will be DRS 37038. I plan to get hold of a spare pair, and the black rings that the bogies clip into. This will be used with a spare motor and a home made chassis. These bogies are a world away from those used on the Farish 50 (and old style 37) chassis, so it's worth the effort to use them
Now, paint wise, LoadHaul is oh so very very tempting, but I think more than likely I'll be doing Defiance in Large Logo with a grey roof, as it was for most of the era of the layout
More soon, including a car park update

A friend of mine is one of the proud owners of defiance.

I love the detail on this layout. One thing that you could do with the road vehicles, especially trucks and vans, is spray the with matt varnish to take away the shine. This adds a more purposeful look to them.

Simply stunning. I especially like the thatched roofs.

It was this picture that I noticed the TEAS sign on the roof and realised. That this layout was featured in railway modeller around 2000 I think, under the name Holiday Haunts.
cheers Harry

Interiors you say?
With windows so large on these shops it's hard to find a way to not have interiors

these are all early photos so surrounding scenery had yet to be completed, hope they are of use!
