Assuming the 101 is to a similar standard as their other DMUs at about 3 times the cost of a Lima one it would fall far, far short of 3 times as good IMHO. It was an obvious choice to do after the n gauge one but it's a huge shame it's not one of the 115-118 family.
My big worry is it leaves the door wide open for Heljan and I have little hope that they will do anything other than badly cock it up.
Cheers
Jim
Dapol might be thinking about it. There have been hints that the Bubble car might morph into a 115-118 unit in N gauge. If its coming in N then it could also be done in OO?

George Jackson Churchwood, argueably a genius designer (and no I'm not biased in favour of the GWR, but I can appreciate superb loco designs)
and I repeat, G J Churchwood??????????

G. J. Churchwood and C. B. Collett, two of the finest locomotive designers in railway history in my opinion, you can never overrate their designs, and I'd be first in the queue with pitchfork at the ready if it were the case (slightly Off Topic but for a quick giggle, N-Gauge City of Truro please!)
Now if you'll pardon the pun, I'll let this get "back on track" ( ) with the matter to hand.
GJ Churchwood?
