  1. I was thinking of using both the Hornby offerings and Hattons for my planned freelance Southern layout Colonel Stephens esq.
  2. Always wanted to build a Minories layout for my NSE DMU stock with a loco parcel bay.
  3. Still thinking about ordering one of these for my Benson layout as its a fictional extended Watlington branch line plus rule one applies.
  4. Thanks everyone for your ideas and yes the size is 6ft by 1ft with room for a removable fiddle yard. The idea of having a level crossing came from visiting the Kent & East Sussex Railway. So lots to think about and yes some big asks in there. So thanks once again. Mark
  5. Hi All i have a spare board which is 6ft x 1ft which i would like to build a Colonel Stephens inspired End of branch line. Must haves are A small platform with passing loop 2 or 3 sidings for goods traffic and a level crossing. Locos i have or plan to use are a Terrier, P class and a peckett so all small locos. Any ideas would be welcome. Mark
  6. Called into the shop this week while working in the area. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the shop is very well stocked. I picked up all the scenic items i needed. Well worth a visit if your in the area.
  7. Morning all well at 1st every time i logged in my password wasn't recognised so i had to resubmit a password. That all seems ok now. But the topics that i have followed over the years are harder to find and some older ones have lost pictures attached to them. I have to say i much prefered the old set up in that respect and thought it was easier to navigate. Mark
  8. Fantasic layout did you say that the layout measured 150cm x 52cm plus fiddleyard. Regards Mark
  9. Hi all just interested to see how everyone runs in there locos. Is a rolling road best or an oval of track? regards Mark
