Some interesting other observations as well - detailed interior you just cannot see for example.
That made me wonder if wherever the grills were going to be flush brass so you could see some of the detail inside at some point and then decided no so reverted to keeping the grills the same material as the rest of the body

I use fine filler from Wilkos with a touch of beige paint added in rather then a wash as I had issues with the wash soaking in to the wood and not leaving enough in the mortar joints.
I also found it just as easier to clean up after the filler was in place with a damp sponge this helped by getting rid of the bleached whiting that covers the brick surface sometimes and keeps the colors toned down.

II would question why someone with a family life that has such pressure is put forward as the owner, unless to illicit sympathy (which it has)
I would question why someone with your discriminatory views should even be allowed on this website.

Despite rumours to the contrary I have been building pointwork for the last few days and now have around 15 towards the new layout (or my pension should I give up modelling and sell them)....
Does this mean in 6 months time they will be available to purchase once there torn up?
-
One last shot.
Wow that looks amazing, that's some superb modelling.

So sad, Dave Shakespear was a massive inspiration to many modellers alike and certainly to me when I got back in to the hobby after a long break, I must of watched his Tetleys Mills dvd over 10 times hoping one day to aspire to such high standards.
Condolences to his wife and Family at such a hard time.

Those signals are looking pretty sweet, good job!

Al that looks amazing, 1 thing thou but is the white section above the column to high compared to the real photo?
-
Looking good, starting to come together with the first bit of grass on the embankments, well done.
-
Wow some top track work there and you seem to be speeding a long with the progress.
As Sandside pointed out ild be inclined to go for a better type of point motor to match the excellent standard of points you have built, plus the added bonus of the realistic slow action of a Tortoise or similar and built in switch for the frog.

Another lurker here, If I see an update I always have a read to see the progression which is always to a high standard.
Keep it coming!

Did the loco have Great Western on the saddle tanks? Most of them didn't.
As he loco was rebuilt in 1926 at Swindon works after being used on Cardigan & Whitland railway I would of thought so
-
Looking good so far Rob.

Basildon-where the chavs run wild...
-
Great update, can you put the points before the bridge and have 3 lines going across ?
Agree, alot better idea then having it on the bridge..
-
I think this ones going for the 'most mistakes in a single listing' trophy....
Do you think any buyer is expecting a pack of Viagra with the purchase?
Or maybe the current owner ran out of steam?

The trackwork so far looks amazing, I love the feel of the design so far.
