Thameslink, Crossrail, HS2 - not exactly delivered smoothly to time and budget. So a genuine question: did British Rail do any better on large projects such as the WCML?

After a lengthy chat with my physio it's looking like I'm never going to recover from the accident & I'm going to be left permanently disabled. A very hard pill to swallow

  Don't give up, whatever the experts may say. Accepting that there is no hope will almost certainly mean the physio's prophesy will come true. This is a well known phenomenon in medical circles. Cling on to some hope and things might just turn out for the better. Even a little improvement would be better than no progress at all. Have hope!
