I think with Loksound decoders it’s possible to get more info of the sound file using the ESU Lok Programmer.

Just a question, I understand that there is no space for a speaker, but are there connections for a speaker on the PCB?

Yamorc is indeed the logical successor as Yamorc is set up by Karst Drenth who was the designer of most of the Digikeijs stuff. He left Digikeijs several years ago.
