  1. eh?? 156s are going to be sub leased to TPE to cover some workings, no 158s involved
  2. surely only 7660 and 7661 had panels, 7662 to 7677 were full yellow end from new
  3. really suits the 91 and would work with the plain grey base
  4. 8215 was one of three class 15s that became long term residents at the Plant, 8214 and 8218 were the others. they sat at the side of the Crimpsall shop until eventually (1971/72) they were dragged off to Crewe to be cut up
  5. I have a vague recollection of 5153 at Sheffield in March 71 in green with small warning panel, no photo, maybe it rings a bell with someone
  6. notice the short lived white GNER lettering
  7. if the sea wall is rebuilt then that's it, no more rebuilding of diversionary routes, buses are cheaper if they cant rebuild the sea wall then it might get interesting
  8. nobody seems to be looking at this as coastal erosion, just a washout, a lot of the east coast has disappeared for good, unrestorable, if this is the same sort of thing you cannot restore it, it is gone, lost to the sea the next few days will reveal the true situation
  9. could be grey, the coaches are blue, the loco is a different colour/shade perhaps inconclusive
  10. they're not bricked up in a tunnel, they buried them at the back of the plant
  11. tomorrow, 2nd April there will be a press release about this
  12. the stall raises many questions, I don't suppose we'll ever get the answers. you would have to be at a stand on the crossing for a stall to immobilise it, moving cars don't just stall and stop dead, too emotional a subject for rational discussion
  13. better than reading a review is to look at the model, if it looks like a 33 then buy it if you have to go looking at a drawing then perhaps you don't know what a 33 looks like rule 1 , if you like it buy it, why would you look for reasons not to oops, kicked the worm can over
