  1. Yes, that is strange - I'm not a follower either since the days of Walter Gabrial way back in the 60s! I thought it may be a heritage line myself. A few more may be gleaned from here - https://www.linkscorner.org/courses/index.php
  2. Here's a few - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/archers/wallpaper/borsetshire_1024.shtml
  3. How times change... September 2009 - 4 on the bridge plus another on the North Bridge!
  4. I must say that it suprised me that it had regressed to having tyres. I always thought that the 153s were grossly overpowered!
  5. This is the latest RAF livery one... The 153s don't have tyres.
  6. BEWARE I'd only looked at the 153 bogie before posting above. Just looked at the 156 - there are diagonal traction tyres on the motor bogie.
  7. I'll give that a try as I have the same problem with a pair of Dapol 68s.
  8. I have a pair of Class 153s (both pre-used) and the current RAF Class 156. Not comparable to Ringfields - so much better. They pick up on all 4 wheels. Slow speed control is excellent on DC.
  9. It DOES happen with TEAs! The Class 60 is only loco I have a problem with. I have cured it by using ?Rocos - the coupling from Bachman 158s.
  10. 60 years ago. And where's the coach?
  11. That's the postage in the UK!
  12. Yes. No full ploughs. Peter's Spares have detail packs that are pictured with full ploughs... X5593 @ £6.34 but with £5 postage!!!
  13. Yes, I found it useful. Ordered 60 100 at 1323 yesterday, delivered by RM at 0825 today usual £4 postage (not specific next day). Thanks Hattons and RM!! Runs great - yes, run in already. Included instructions state for Class 60 but all illustrations are for a Class 31. Had to go to Lendons web site to find out how to attach "snow" plough.
  14. I wondered why I could no longer get Sodium Chlorate! Slightly OT - do weedkilling trains still run? I ask because of the state of the weeds evident at Crewe on all the RailCam cameras especially at the end of platform 6.
  15. Another "banger" from Rocket! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OO-Gauge-Hornby-Class-142-Pacer-Railcar-Provincial-Sector-1-Car/114348202336?_trkparms=aid%3D1110009%26algo%3DSPLICE.COMPLISTINGS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818142652%26meid%3D86c3305746b84d9c839c40086ab8e46e%26pid%3D101196%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D143681167623%26itm%3D114348202336%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3Ddefault&_trksid=p2047675.c101196.m2219
  16. It's not limited to mail order - I paid a bill in the bank last week and got a text by the time I got home wanting feedback for my "appointment".
  17. Don't mention Dapol 68s!!! The problem seems to be made worse when the wagon/coach also has a self-centering coupling. I have no problem with Hornby Mk2f coaches but Bachmann intermodals are a big problem. After reading these thread I thought I'd do some experimenting. Roco couplings - didn't even make a 30" radius turn without derailing. Hunt couplings for Oxford Mk3 (I had some spare) - Perfect,
  18. As far as I remember the original Hornby HST set was Powered, Dummy and one Mk3 TS. Sorry - just seen other replies!
  19. Common I'm afraid. 50 011 (large logo) has the same problem. My Class 67 Keith Heller had the coupling fall apart while parked up!
  20. Yes, the ScotRail pair - normal runnng of other locos is abot max 70%, with these 30%! At 70% are more like a TGV! Not even risked 100%!
  21. The Replica chassis is excellent - used one for a Hornby 110. There is one drawback - it intrudes into the interior to the extent that seats etc cannot be used.
  22. Look at the instruction for cutting the sloping wall to see if you can tell from that which is the appropriate measurement. Sorry I can't be any more help than that.
  23. I'm sure I saw them in the Liverpool Tate...
