  1. Never fear https://www.ultrascale.uk/eshop/products/view/CAT007/364
  2. Most commercial gauge 1 locos have proper Walchearts or Stephensons. Quite a large amount of scratchbuilds too.
  3. Not a good comparison. People seem to not understand the Beatles / Coca Cola stuff is not aimed at us. It is a completely different market share aimed at collectors of that sort of thing (yes...really). I look upon that stuff as subsidising the rest of the range of proper stuff, because it sells, believe it or not. A B2 in MET livery would be nothing short of a fudge. If you want a MET Peckett, buy the 3D print and paint it in MET livery, with transfer lining it wouldn't be hard and you'll get what you actually want. Or pay someone to do it (but where's the fun there?). Link below. https://www.oakhillworks.co.uk/shop/peckett-x-class/
  4. I can, the W4 and B2 are not the right breed of Peckett. The Met ones were X class pecketts. A 3D prints available.
  5. Disappointed with the pseudo Polly. Missed a trick there I feel.
  6. Yes indeed. It runs very well, I did pack the body full of shot which helps.
  7. Nothing much happening on the pugbashing side but Nellie has been out and about. Here she is on Mark Pretious "Bembridge". I keep thinking about doing a Polly version.
  8. Has any thought been given to doing a kit for the EE demonstrator shunters? (Vulcan at KWVR) I think I will have to order a C14
  9. They haven't got the livery specs right 🙄 Desert Sand and Khaki green. Olive Drab and Khaki Sand are not a thing for these.
  10. Kevan Ayling built a 5 inch model that is still running http://www.bulleidlocos.org.uk/_ldr/ldrKevan1.aspx http://www.bulleidlocos.org.uk/_ldr/ldrKevan2.aspx there are numerous gauge one examples
  11. I was disappointed to see the Leaders at Warley still displaying the hopelessly wrong wheels. Has that issue been addressed? Or am I going to have to get the plasticard out? I was going to ask them on the day but they were fielding other questions.
  12. Well Sam is wrong. Mine runs very smoothly and whisked 12 coaches round like they weren't there. Sam does say some odd things re performance in his reviews, highlighting a fundemental lack of electrical and mechanical understanding.
  13. Correct. David's model was battery powered. There is a third G1 Turbomotive built by Peter McCabe which I own the remains of. It is basically a complete chassis. The tender and boiler were liberated to build, and I am not making this up, Princess Anne by Michael Wrottesley.
  14. It isn't a Tesla. Werner actually machined an impulse bladed turbine for it. Drawings are available in his book from G1MRA.
  15. Their response to my politely pointing out the red could be better executed? "It is a fictitious livery" That's it. Well I tried. They have an opportunity to do a fictitious livery as the prototype railway would have done. If thats their attitude they can poke it.
  16. WD 2-10-0s have flangeless middle drivers, always did.
  17. Of course, if it were right I might actually buy a red one.
  18. Very true! It is only a render so I didn't want to rip it to shreds but the bands are quite a deliberate addition.
  19. Render of the red has arrived. The black bands are irritating. They have used a Players cigarette card as a reference, despite having relatively contemporary livery references in the form of 1000 and the Spinner in the NRM. Even the photographic grey photo could be used as a lining reference. Disappointing.
  20. Given they are a direct swap its just something to look forward to
  21. have you considered a nice set of Ultrascale wheels? You'll have to wait for them mind. https://www.ultrascale.uk/eshop/products/view/CAT007/383
