Hi Guys does anyone have any of his building drawings that appeared in the model railway press at the time.

Correct, I was sorting out some old books and came across the one on the Dart Valley Railway project with some great looking coaches. I have had in the back of my mind for ages to build a fictitious Junction station somewhere in the south west where both the GWR and the SR meet but the additional bit was that the Somerset and Dorset also found its way to the Junction station as well. What I have worked out in my mind was that the station started out as Southern (LSWR) secondary line not far away some sort of industrial working was started so a link via an industrial line came into being, a few years past and the GWR approach the station with a secondary branch line and they obtained running rights through to Exeter. a few years later again part of the industrial line was upgraded to take larger mainline locos the only thing was, that at the other end of the upgraded line was the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. The area saw an increase of industrial output which increased the number small local industrial railways feeding into the transfer sidings by the junction station by now. The timeline would be from 1920 to 1935 so anything that was about then I can justify it on the layout, but I will need to take care that I don't start to use locos or rolling stock which was built after this period. I do happen to like the old North Cornwall Railway buildings so that gives you some ideas just how big an area I can work in. Without pushing the boundaries too much, I would also like to include some sort of Industrial line as well. Locos will be a mix bag as I happen to like both the 45xx and the Halls for the GWR and the N's & U's for the Southern, I might treat myself to one WC loco. As for the S&DJR I must have one of those 2-8-0 tender locos and LMS 2P 4-4-0 and a 4F 0-6-0 I think they were. As for any industrial loco there are too many good models or kits out there, so again not sure what to go for at present. Regards Colin Rainsbury

Hi Stephen I stumbled more on to op's list to be honest rather that trying to find it, but it has help me sort out a few of the coaches I am interested in and while I am not a GWR person, some of the carriages are beautiful. Hi Guys I hope this is the right place to come. Having just dug out an old book on the Dart Valley Railway (Ashburton to Totnes) branch I came across some photos of the rolling stock notable the No 249 the Family Saloon and the Dynamometer Car No 790. My question is does anyone know if either or both these coaches are available as etch kits in 4mm scale, I would go even further to ask are any Dean period coach kits out there, I don't normal model 4mm EM but if these style of coaches are available I could be tempted. Hi Guys I am trying to get some inspiration for a country four route junction station A B STATION C D Trains go from A to B or A to D, Trains also go from C to B and C to D they can also go in reverse as well B to A or B to C and D to A and D to C. The concept is that the main line runs from A to D and there are two branch line both run by different companies so in total there would be three different Railway companies serving the station. So the question is can anyone suggest a prototype junction station in the middle of no where to be honest? Regards Colin Rainsbury

I did hear that Ian Kirk was some what miffed that the moulding where supposed to be knackered, but I get there is more to this story then we all know on this site. I have spoken to Tony Brown who used to own Cooper- Craft and he didn't have any problems with the machines he had at the time, it will be good to see the range appear again.

Hi Nile yes it had the first time I looked it said that Cooper Craft was up for sale, then the next time it said that Cambrian models had brought certain parts of that company but not all of it.

Home Cambrian Model Rail Limited have now completed the purchase of the Cooper Craft Moulds. As part of the purchase we also have the rights to the Cooper Craft brand and the Website. However please note we have not purchased the buisness formerly run by Paul Dunn and trading as Cooper Craft. Any queries regarding transactions before 11/12/2022 still need to be addressed to him at the old trading address given on the contact page. He still retains the Mailcoach and Kirk Coach moulds and other products. He is looking for a purchaser of the rights to these models. Unfortunately it will not be a straightforward process to adapt the Cooper Craft moulds for production in our moulding machine. However we hope to have at least some of the range available by February. The best bit is it is just down the road from me

I wonder if tilling track would be better all round?

Hi Patrick thanks, do you happen to have the title of the book so I can search either Abe books or Amazon for one if they every come up Yes I have looked at the Worsley kits, but they are not the type I am looking for right now, it is more like the 891mm gauge teak timber bogies stock that I would like to find the details of, I am thinking in terms of say two or three different styles, I am not sure if you guys have a brake / open coach like we have over here in the UK, or do you normally run a brake van as a separate vehicle? Hi Patrick Just found this thread, so forgive me if you have already answered it does anyone following this thread have any details about the Swedish 3ft gauge railways, I have some details of the Jadraas-Tallas Swedish Mallet Built Atlas, Stockholm 1910 0-6-6-0 Tender loco, however I am thinking in terms of having a couple of coaches for the loco to pull, but I don't have any details of any Swedish 3ft gauge rolling stock in OO/HO Scale, any help given would be most welcome. Hi Folks any developments on the controller front? The reason I am asking is that I have been sent the details of a controller by the name of 'Fidelity' from New Zealand anyone had any experiance with this one? Colin
