  1. I've attached the track plan from Loftus Road. Admins please feel free to remove it if I'm infringing on copyright. Cheers BDA
  2. Hello all! I'm after some advice and guidance please. My Son (almost 5) would like a roundy roundy to watch the trains running at max speed. I'd like something I can practice my modelling on. So I'm thinking something along the lines of Loftus Road/Kenny O. I'm thinking code 80 so I can use setrack off scene but still use streamline on the scenic section. Normally I'd crack on with Anyrail, but we're currently without a computer. So I'm looking for assistance in the production of the track plan. Any advice is gratefully received.
  3. Can I ask where you got the brass buffers from please?
  4. Hopefully some 3d printing whizz kid will sort us out!
  5. Can I ask which wheels you used to rewheel your Heljan IWB Cargowaggon please? Was it a difficult conversion?
  6. Have you got any photos of the platforms or station buildings please?
  7. I never did answer your question! It'll be 1988/89....so any ideas which one I'll need please?
  8. Sorry to be a pain, if I want to replicate the Corpach paper and Fort William Alcan trains, which version would I need please?
  9. Definitely used to refuel at Ayr. They were regularly borrowed for coal trains before working the bullets back down south.
  10. Well it's cleared plenty up for me! Cheers Dave for being clear and frank and putting all the rumours to bed. Now we can enjoy getting on with the Dapol 59 and nagging you about making some thing else instead! Hmmm, maybe there should be some kind of DJM wishlist...........
  11. Has anyone sold anything to Hattons? If so, how'd it go?
  12. Thanks for this. Only just spotted the reply, not sure why I haven't returned to this thread in a year!
  13. Oh for sure, I'd be too busy planning my O gauge garden railway!
  14. I look at those kits on Peter Clark's website and think if I won the lottery, they'd all be on my O gauge Minories!
  15. The other option is to make it double track and use cassettes at the station end?
  16. I'm thinking if I can get a 6 Car platform in then off peak with 4 car units strengthened to 6 in the peak. As for the through line it'll just be inter yard transfers with 15s, 24s, 31s. But when not at an exhibition it'll be NSE all over and maybe a Bratchell 319 up and down the through line.
  17. Here we have the plan. It'll be about 4 ft longer than the plan shows, I just wanted to get the track arrangement right. The single line represents the freight only line through Snow Hill tunnel. Once I've sketched it out full size I'm hoping to get 6 Car EMUs into the two longer platforms.
  18. Well this layout could once again be on the cards! I'll post up an indicative plan when I get chance.
  19. Picked up some Marcway points and SMP track for my mate today. Very impressed with the points and the service in the shop was excellent. I forgot however to ask for DCC ready points. I assume I can just cut a break in the rails before the frog? Also I noticed there was no hole in the tie bar for a point motor actuator wire. So I wonder if anyone knows what sized drill bit should I use?
  20. Cheers EJ, I managed to get into town and picked up a copy. For me, the Manitoba Quays layout plan has too much going on and has lost that lovely feel that Minories had.
  21. I'm struggling to find somewhere to buy it online. I might be able to make it to WH Smiths in York tomorrow or maybe Monk Bar have it. Failing that, could anyone give me a hint as to the track plan in question? My mate mentioned the use of a single slip?!
  22. Cheers Chris. Is there a new version out? No Manitoba Quays in the one I've downloaded!
  23. Sorry Hayfield, what I meant was I couldn't find it in the track plan book. I bought a digital copy last night.
