Hi Peter
A great thread you have running here, wonderful skills, definitely one to follow.
Will be a great source of information and help to a relative newbie like myself.
Jim
That shed looks terrific, the colouring on your tiles is so realistic.
you have inspired me to do something from scratch myself, starting with my platforms, so its out with those Metcalfe card kits
Nick
Great work, all up to your normal very high standard
Now I have been following your thread for some time and it as just occurred to me "what on earth do you do with all the gear you build"
Its all gone very quiet in here, where are you all.
I suppose Jeffs sat somewhere in "The Thinker" mode
AndyP will be away away dreaming up his next creation "aka bodger Frankenstein"
Jeff
Wow its quiet here
You need to build something or maybe even knock something else down
Or how about things you wish you had done on KL 1 that you will now incorporate into KL 2
Jeff
I hadn't realised you would be that long without laying track. Are you able to make use of the time modeling buildings and scenery to put in place once your move is complete,
I am having a similar problem to Andy, with my plans to run track round all the walls (and door for that matter but that's another problem) running out of Room to use as actual workshop space.
If you have a look at some of AndyP's other threads such as Trebudoc http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/54364-trebudoc-in-o-gauge-videos-page-28-29-31-to-33-36/ you will find a few videos that go into greater detail with a bit more practical information.
Great threads here andyp, lots of info to show us how to go about things when we didn't have a clue, not to long ago.
Jeff
I dont think you will have any problem keeping up interest here, you will always have the hadcore Lunesters chipping in keeping the thread live & active.
Plus many more who come back to the thread time & time again to look at the techniques used & transfer hopefully on to their own layouts.
Luckily I fall into both groups
That shed looks ideal you will also be able to do all your own plants for your station planters
You should then be in with a chance of winning "flower station of the Year 2014" from UK Station in Bloom
Looks like you've been very busy in the time since we lost spoke, some great modelling going on here, hope to meet up in Doncaster again in a couple of weeks.
Jeff, is their likely to be a garden railway in the future, seems like a natural progression, with even bigger bits to play around with,
Of course you will need a JCB to build the hills up and get down to the river bed
Jeff
Its great to see that you have managed to get the viaduct out with very little damage, it will make life easier for you when you reinstate on KL 2.
If only we could fast forward several months and see it all in its new home.
I suppose we other lunesters had better get stocked up with glue, screws & timber etc before you start ordering & taking delivery of the entire country's supply of it all, so that you can put it all together again
We don't want the same world shortage we had last time you were in building mode.
Jeff
You are famous for the amount of timber you use around the world, I was only reading that politicians all around the globe are saying they are not responsible for the disappearing rain forest & laying the blame firmly with you saying " its all the fault of some bloke in the North of England building a model railway"
