  1. I'm on Virgin Media 100mbs service with fibre cable to the house (no "last mile" issue) - almost always get 105+.
  2. Have a look here for some incrediably modelling: I recall seeing the front loader being build on a topic thread but can't find it now.
  3. Any takers? Last chance before they head to the recycling centre.
  4. Apologies for the lack of updates this year. Work / life / impending house move mean my modelling time has been limited to non-existent! The house move is forcing a clear out of model railway magazines - please see my post in "Free to a good home"
  5. Impending house move is forcing a clear out. It turns out my bed has been proped up by rather a lot of railway magazines! Free to a good home! 6. It's the bodies underneath the capping stones you need to worry about! Looks like you're going to have a great train shed. Cheers
  7. Great photos, as ever. Thanks for sharing! The ones posted last night (the Drax & DB 60's) are really striking - what camera did you use? Cheers
  8. I don't see why not. the difference isn't that great - as long as the HO & OO containers aren't stacked next to each other I doubt many would notice. (I bought some containers cehap and it was only when I got home I realised they they HO...)
  9. Thanks Whittle. When I started building Laoson Valley over 5 years ago(!) I hadn't a clue how to make any of this and it was only by reading others' techniques on RMweb that I thought I could give it a go. There are plenty of modellers with far far more skill than me, but if me putting up a few work-in-progress photos helps others get inspired, then I'm be happy. Gary - I briefly see the new Bescot shed when heading up the M6 - it was one of the handful I have used as inspiration. The fact my shed is recognisable is a good sign! The shed hasn't progressed at all over the last few weeks. In the photos above you can see a slight outwards bow in the walls. The shed has spend the last month with some masking tape pinching the sides together in an attempt to straighten the walls. In the meantime I've been working on a couple of other side projects for the TMD yard. Photos to follows once I make a little more progress. Cheers
  10. I think I used Guys Magnets https://www.guysmagnets.com/neodymium-magnets-c11/guys-magnets-3-mm-x-10-mm-n52-neodymium-rod-p475
  11. Crickey David, that weathering is truely amazing.
  12. A bit more progress on the shed to report Angle profile added around the doors. It’s hidden all my wonky cutting a treat! Some roof vents added from offcuts of plasic rod and tube. A couple of spotlights and interior lighting added and wired up on test. Ready for painting now. Will probably need several coats of paint to prevent light bleed only to return to off white. Modelling was accompanied by my advent tipple!
