  1. Hi, I recently obtained a nicely completed 4mm scale model of the Wills/SE Finecast 1854 pannier tank. I have two photos (one is in GWRJ 66) of the real locos showing the tops of the boilers which show a slight hump in the cladding over the boiler and raised area above the firebox relative to the tops of the pannier tanks. The smokebox is also raised. I also have a copy of the excellent instructions for the Martin Finney 1854/1701 etched kit which has information and parts to produce the above raised areas. I have no doubt that Martin Finneys instructions and kit are prototypically correct as per my photos. References to boilers and tanks in RCTS Part 5 suggest this is also correct.

    However, on my Wills / SE Finecast kit apart from a nominal hump over the smokebox, it is flat on top of the panniers without raised sections over boiler/firebox, so is this actually prototypically correct or an error which I will need to address?
