  19. Hi Michael, For grazed fields it depends what time of year, spring tends to be light green , summer rich green etc... To be honest I find the best results are to mix and match different shades and different lengths...Look at even grazed fields and the grass is all of a different height...I've had good results doing it like this.... For railway embankments, I tend to model LONG straw/ burnt grass colour.... Mike, it's best to have a go on some thin plasticard and experiment ...Coat the piece with the glue ,mix the grass and attach the clip to the plasticard and shake away!!!!!! Lol.You can also add the various types of fine to medium flock to also enhance the embankment.... Happy Modelling.
  20. I'd say ALL that are available are EXCELLENT...Horses for courses as they say..... Having listened to a few different types there ARE differences.... The SWD version tends to have 3 or maybe 4 stages of revs as the speed increases...This makes driving it more fun as you don't always want full thrash with a light engine! What 57 are you thinking of putting it in????? I ask this as I'm not sure the SWD is from a 57/0 as it doesn't QUITE SCREAM like a 57/0... The versions I've heard that scream are the Howes and the one by Coastal Dcc...Both of these sound superb.... I'm sure all are on you tube to view.... I've not listened to Olivias nor Digitrains so can't comment on those.... Regards
