I've posted this in the DCC forum, but thought it might be useful here too.
I purchased a Bachmann 35-303, 37 305 in BR blue. Tested it with the Bachmann Plux22 decoder 36-570 and it had a problem with the marker and tail lights on both ends being lit all at once, with no ability to operate them independently. There is a note in the Class 37 manual that when using 36-570 instead of 36-570A, three CVs need altering, but one has been misprinted; CV123 should be 124. All other CVs and their values are as written and reprogramming them allows the lights to work correctly with the 36-570 decoder.
This was my first of the revamped Bachmann 37s and I'm very happy with it, especially as the detachable nose front area fits perfectly, which I found to be a weak point on previous versions.

I had a reply from Bachmann about this which has solved the problem. If using decoder 36-570, there is a misprint in the Class 37 manual. The CVs to change are 124 (not 123), 43 and 44, to the stated values. The marker and tail lights then work as they should.

Today's Hatton's advent offer: lots of Hornby Mk3 coaches at £15.00 (and a few at £25.50).

I've just bought the latest spec Bachmann Class 37, 35-303 and am testing it with their 36-570 Plux22 decoder.
When I first put it on the track, all the marker and tail lights came on both ends without the lights function being switched on and the tail lights get brighter when the lights function is turned on, but all lights still stay on.
As per the instructions with the loco for if you're using decoder 36-570 and not 36-570A, I changed CVs 123, 43 and 44 to the instructed values so the "red tail lights ON both ends" and "white marker lights ON both ends" functions work properly, but all the lights still remain on all the time.
Does anyone have any solutions to this please?
All other lights work ok (engine room and cabs) and the loco runs well.

Class 60, By Accurascale

I didn't order a Cavalex Class 60 as I'm happy with my Hornby one, which I still think is one of their best D&E models. My initial response to the Accurascale announcement was the D word 😉 but I've been won over by 60 001, which I'll be ordering once made available. It can stay ex-works and go with my two ex-works Accurascale Class 92s to represent the later part of my modelling period, when all these locos were "on test".
