  1. Thanks for sharing. What's the GBRf loco in the cabinet? Looks like Evening Star. Martin
  2. Hi Phil, Off topic, but do you know which 66 that is behind 60091? Ask as I don't think I've ever seen a graffitied 66 before! Martin
  3. Back to the models, here's my iPhone pic of a 66718 sample at DEMU. LTM (and Bachmann) really do have to be commended on attempting these as it certainly is an intricate livery expertly applied. Martin
  4. I'm sure I would have been able to have picked these up from the shop or when they came in stock but wanting to make sure I secured them all I can say is I'm glad I monitor this thread as I'd signed up to be informed when the pre-orders were open again but nothing from LTM.....apart that is from the shops newsletter every couple of weeks which I'd not asked for when I signed up for pre-order notification! Price rises and charity status aside it certainly feels like the communication and ordering process could have been better. Martin
  5. Hi Ben, Good to meet you at DEMU Burton and take a look at the N gauge TEA's. I had planned on ordering some of these but seeing how good the N versions looked in ones hand prompted me to hurry up and order before the early bird discount expires! So... order just placed. Martin
  6. Well of course....but then where's the sense in allowing a supplier to take them to a diesel 'showcase' event if there's a concern they're not correct?? I'm not complaining, would have just liked to see how the DRS and Scotrail examples are coming along given I'm not often in the UK. Martin
  7. Well I didn't see 'em, and I looked at the DCC Supplies stand! Sounds like from the other comments they were potentially 'under the table' and only bought out on request which if correct seems a bit silly! So..... did anyone snap a photo of them that they can post up? Martin
  8. Where were they Mike? I was there most of Saturday and I never saw 'em! Martin
  9. I've seen a GBRf 66 on a Southampton Docks bound intermodal so there's an excuse to add at least one GBRf machine to your fleet! ;-) Martin
  10. Thanks for your help Pete, I've just placed my order. Martin
  11. I'll take it if I can get it built and painted! Martin Message sent. Martin
  12. Hi Pete, Sent you a mail, not sure if you got it. I'm ready to order one but......given I don't have the time and more importantly the talent to build and paint one to a high standard can you recommend someone who'd be willing to take it on? Mozza Models isn't taking on anymore work at the moment. Thanks Martin
  13. Resize 2.jpg on a test run working south back to the RTC at Derby mid 1970's ....................... IMG_1684 Re.jpg Nice pics and upon inspection a stupid question... which perhaps Kit will be able to answer. Why did one power car only have a single windscreen wiper? Martin
  14. I'm told my sound version (order no.278) arrived at my UK correspondance address Wednesday, so I just wanted to say thank you very much Sandra! Martin
  15. Just to echo the comments already made, thank you to the whole of team Rapido for producing this model, fantastic achievement in the timescales. And in addition, I'm also hopeful you'll announce the APT-P Jason. My deposit is already waiting! Martin
  16. Looking fantastic guys, great to see biff on the sounds. If I close my eyes it could be a Lightning or Hunter jet starting up! Martin
  17. Just found this thread. Can't add much more than that said above. Absolutely amazing work Ron you've got some modelling skills! Will be following from now on and watching with great interest and admiration. Martin
  18. Seeing as Warley is a bit of a trek for me I'd like to thank Richard w and Wolf27 for posting those photos. I'd also like to thank Jason and the rest of the team (again!) for going ahead with this model. Looks so good as it is, I'm really pleased to have pre-ordered it and can't wait for it to arrive. Hat's off to Rapido as you've put your money where you're mouth is and are delivering on what you say, something that often seems to be missing from so many aspects of our lives. Keep up the good work, haven't been so glued to one particular thread for a long time. Martin
  19. Thanks to Mick's link I just found your thread, very nice 47's Andy. Please let me know if Vulcan needs a new home! ;-) Martin
  20. Great news. Thanks for the quick reply Jason. Martin
  21. It's not that I've been living under a rock but MR magazine takes a little while to reach here, so having got all excited by reading the article in the August edition and not visiting this site for a little while I was happily surprised to find this thread and that Locomotion were already open for business! I'd just like to add to all the other comments Jason, absolutely top choice. I've been waiting for a RTR version of this since I first saw it at York in 1980 during a school model railway club outing to the museum so order duly just placed for a DCC sound version. Quick question if I may and apologies if it has already been answered but having just read most of the 26 preceding pages I couldn't see it.....but will there be speakers in both power cars so we get the sound effect twice as the train passes? Thanks again for deciding to model this as your UK market entrance model and I know it's already been mentioned so I'll request it softly......APT-P next please! Martin

    Dapol 'Western'

Hi Keith Thanks for that but I was asking re steveb860's post above! ;-) I can see from your photos that's just the standard ESU speaker. Martin

Steve, is that the bass enhanced or bass reflex speaker? Martin
