I have 526 and it looks like the fading of the paint is printed on. Very good job they have done too

Here's the Red Stripe paint details for 31's. Part of Rail Express Retrospectum features.

Rail Express did a list of each livery and locos and dates painted, I kept a copy of each in a folder. As far as depot allocations I had a boat load of Motive power pocket books. I'm not aware of an accurate online version.

Unfortunately it's incorrect. It has 31180 allocated to Holbeck till withdrawal. 31149 data wrong too. Nor does it give Red Stripe livery data.

Both 31149 and 31180 were allocated to Tinsley after overhaul and repaint in March 87. Both were completed by Doncaster around the same time. All the other 31 depots Bescot, March, Stratford, Thornaby, Immingham and Kingmoor also had Red Stripe locos in their allocation.

Finally got chance to detail and examine my 56s. Simply sublime. Thank you to the posters and Ultimate model railways for the railtour pair, I wanted to see 093 in the flesh before I ordered and nearly missed out. Many thanks Cavalex for the Model of the year

Does any retailer still have the GBFf twin pack in stock (DCC Ready). Waited to accept my 093 first and now it looks like I've missed the boat.

Have all the 607's gone to the retailers as I've not heard anything from mine yet. Ordered my 606 direct and received that ages ago.

The West Highland was solid Eastfield locos.

432 would cover it if it didn't have the toughened drivers window. I'd like to see a mid 80s Immingham 31/4 . We have the earlier 31/4s but they didn't get about quite as much as Imminghams stable.
