  1. It is the announcement of the MK2D that my credit card is afraid of!!
  2. The weathering on the wooden planks looks spot on. Any chance of sharing how you achieved it?
  3. Had chance to have a good look at the couple of Warwells that arrived earlier. 1st thing that struck me was the weight of the model. I thought the Cavalex Warflat was fairly hefty but these feel heavier. Overall, very pleased with them and a nice addition to the growing military rake. Looking forward to the Trains4U one arriving soon to go with these. Cheers. Bill.
  4. With the Hattons / Accurascale Warwells now arriving what is the possibilty of some Bedford MK/MJ and TM trucks. Surely these were the back bone of the British Army in the 70’s, 80’s and into the 90’s. PS. Placed a preorder by phone a few weeks back but not had a call yet to take payment. Cheers Bill.
  5. I like that one! Thanks Mike, I’ll try it and let you know when I’m allowed home from A&E!
  6. Had the DPD delivery notification text this morning for my Warwells. Every Accurascale delivery I’ve had has been on a Wednesday. Coincidence I know but I’m sure someone at Accurscale knows that Wednesday is my wife’s day off and the day I have to go into the office. They must love knowing I will have some explaining to do (again) when I get home. At least it is not justifying 2 class 37’s this time!!
  7. Will be there for the weekend helping @PeteScR with his layout “Brunswick Yard” which was featured in the March edition of BRM
  8. Just a quick note to add that Revolution Will be displaying the EP samples of the Class 175 & 180 DMU’s for the 1st time at our Modellers day this coming Saturday (6th) Cheers. Bill.
  9. Hi Andy. Hope you are recovering from your cold. Thanks for sharing your updates throughout the year. I find yours and @young37215 layouts inspiring! my goals for 2024 are to make a start my West Highland project and finally get to visit the WHHR (A visit is long overdue!) Happy new year to you and look forward to seeing more progress on the layout in 2024. Cheers. Bill.
  10. Merry Christmas to you and your family Rob. Thank you for sharing your inspirational progress through the year!! Looking forward to seeing the layout develop further in 2024.
  11. Looking great Gareth! Cant wait to get the SIII’s and early Spartans that I picked up from you at Warley on to my Waflats. Looking forward to the Warwells and loading them suitable vehicles to bolster up my MOD rake even more.
  12. Thanks for sharing the plan and photo Mick. The idea for modelling Patrington Station hasn’t gone away and still keeps coming to the front of my mind when thinking about what to do for the next layout project.
  13. I agree, the faded blue does not look right. WHL locos and stock didn’t seem to fade. My preference on BR blue is Phoenix P132 (1966-1985) Blue. Thinned 50/50, it sprays very nicely. It is what I am currently using to rework Hornby MK1’s Cheers. Bill.
  14. Was there yesterday too. Travelled by train No issues to Snow Hill but the trains between New St and International were packed! Agree that it felt quieter but nice having wide aisles. Argh! missed Bron Hebog, one of my favourite layouts. Think the BR Blue O gauge layout might have been Hillport Goods. Enjoyed South Pelaw, it was the layout of the show for me as well.
  15. Was at Warley yesterday too and agree, it seemed much quieter than previous years. The space used for the show also felt smaller overall but aisles were nice and wide. Some people I have spoken who were there on Saturday were saying it was packed. Completely feel for you, I have forgotten my glasses in the when going to an exhibition, really frustrating!
  16. Oh yes!! (Sorry forgot about the later “Saltaire” livery!)
  17. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Accurascale announced they are going to do MK2D’s they would be the perfect choice to go with the Deltics. Some nice ScotRail liveried 2D’s would be great as well (hint, hint😜)
  18. Apologies for the delay in getting a spread sheet together. This is what I have so far. Please free to suggest any additions and highlight any errors I’ve made.
  19. Apologies for the confusion @young37215 I meant the corridor connections have been sprayed using weathered black, not the vestibule ends. My fault. I have collated the variant information about SCR BSO(T)’s from this thread and about ready to put it into some form of table format, then see if anyone can fill in some of the of gaps and double check my work for accuracy. Cheers, Bill.
  20. We would all love to have the space to model a mainline setting. This crossover is destined to become part of a run-round on a branch terminus.
  21. Assembled the ‘OO’ LH B7 crossover this evening. As with the other British Finescale turnout kits I have built, this was a delight to put together. In effect you are just building facing 2 turnouts at the same time. Just the tie bars to solder to the switch blades but that can wait until the morning. Big thanks to Wayne for releasing this, I’m sure it will be a popular addition to the growing range! Flat bottom rail turnouts next please?? Cheers. Bill.
