Looking forward to visiting the show
-
I've been to the show several times and sometimes found the parking problem. I always enjoyed this show previously and hope to go this year.
Nowadays I have a Blue Badge, is there any parking for those of us who cannot get about as well as most?
-
Well that was a good one. Thanks very much to Steve and all
who helped to make this an enjoyable show for exhibitors as
well as the visitors.
-
Burnham-on-Sea all packed up and I'm looking forward to the show.
Will load the car at sparrow's f**t tomorrow as I don't like to leave
a layout in a car overnight.
See you tomorrow.
-
Please note the layout "Burnham-on -Sea" is 2FS, 1920/30s. I must make the distinction as there is also an N gauge one 1950s on the show circuit. I would hate it if you went to see the "N" version and were disappointed.

Beautiful running, good job done. I like your idea of a keeper plate, very simple. I think I'll copy this soon.

Yet again this show co-incised with one I'm exhibiting at! (Mendip 2019).
I would really like to take in one of these excellent shows, most frustrating.

Another layout "Burnham-on-Sea"2FS will attend.
What a lot of scales/gauges!

I've just returned from holiday so I'm sorry Tim V. for my late reply.
I thought I'd put the dates in the form as required, obviously not!
Thanks for picking that up.

Why not take in all these and have a great day out.

Thanks for these pics. You've enabled me to see ,in detail, some very good modelling that, as an exhibitor, I didn't get much chance to see.
I was on the Midford layout, stood out a mile as English!

As a member of the Small & Delightful Railway Group, although speaking privately, I don't think this day could possibly be taken as a successor to NGSW.
NGSW was a large and excellent show, as a showcase for narrow gauge modelling it probably had no equal.
The show at Compton Dundon was much smaller and encouraged discussions and gave visitors (and exhibitors) the opportunity to get
behind layouts, perhaps to "have a go".

I've just got back from here a very good show and to be recommended highly.
A high standard of exhibits, especially San Maria Gandia and lots of peoples
to chat to.
Excellent sandwiches and cakes too, but unfortunately no bacon butties.

More bad news, I'm afraid. Scratchy Bottom has been cancelled.
Pity as this is a favourite of mine. At this late stage we are not going to
look for a replacement but we will re-instate the club table for demos etc.
Now I'm busy writing up the show guide.
Never a dull moment in this game!
-
First, the bad news, unfortunately "Godshill (Ogauge) has been withdrawn.
Now the good news "Holcombe (O gauge) is booked as replacement.
-
An excellent show, Geoff. Well done all those who worked hard to arrange this.

A great show, I enjoyed exhibiting Burnham-on-Sea although a little overawed by the company around me.
Thank you very much the Farnham club who all worked hard to make the show a success.
Speaking as an exhibitor all aspects of the show were well organised, the excellent road signage was commented on by my companions on the way in.

Phew, what a scorcher.......!!
Well it's all over now and I think it's pretty safe to say we will do it all again in two years time. I would like to publically thank all the exhibitors, traders, demonstrators, stewards, tea and cake volunteers and not least the punters for contributing to what was a really great day. It made all the hard work leading up to the day worthwhile.
I'm really pleased with how the venue worked out. Despite it being the hottest day of the year it was never unbearable even mid morning when the place was very busy.
Thanks also for all the kind comments on here. I was very fortunate to be able to persuade some really top quality layouts and demonstrators to come along. I now have the problem of having to produce the difficult second album.
Jerry
Jerry,
Sorry to have missed this one. I was exhibiting at the same show as Ed (Devil's Bridge).
Your next mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to equal this show in only two years time.
RM Web will not self destruct, I hope you don't in the attempt!

Thanks for that, Callum. I enjoyed our show all over again!

Couplng height gauge is simple. A small rectangular plasticard fabrication of 4 layers of 40thou. plus 1 of 20 thou. glued, layered together. It does help if the top layer overhangs a little.
